Accident here, the importance of buckling those little ones before you head out!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
Two evenings ago, there was an accident on the Pitou Section of Changwha of the Zhongshan Freeways, the small truck lost control, rammed into the railings, then, hitting the semi, the three-year-old young girl was suspected of not being buckled in completely, she’d flown out of the truck, and was killed under the wheels of her father’s own pick up, the parents and the little girl’s twin younger brother suffered minor injuries, and were okay after being taken to the hospital.
“How did this happen”, the driver of the pickup, Hsu couldn’t take the fact, that his daughter had died, he’d cried hard, and blamed himself for it. He said, that he was trying to get away from the large semi changing lanes, that, was how he’d lost control and rammed into the railings, that he did, manage to buckle his daughter down in her carseat, but, he’d not secured her completely, that, was what caused her, to fly out of the windshield upon impact.
The traffic team’s manager said, that there was the family of four riding in the pickup truck, the driver, Hsu took his wife and children to Tainan for someone’s wedding, at ten o’clock at night, he’d had an accident as he passed the 217 km marker in Changwha, the young girl, with her car seat on the right side, flew out of the car upon impact, then, had her head run over by the pickup her father was operating, died on the scene, there was blood covering the wheels and the car seat, the pickup was deformed.
The driver of the semi, Lin said, that the pickup truck had swerved out of control first, hit the railings, bounced back to the roads, passed in front of his car, skid, then, hit the right side of his semi.
Lai said, that the police were still looking into the cause of the accident, but, seeing how the young girl failed to get buckled in completely, this may have been the primary cause of her death, and the police called out to the public, to be sure that children are buckled in completely in their car seats, to prevent accidents like this from happening again.
And, due to adult carelessness, and, not being careful enough on the road, one young life was lost, and, this teaches us, to buckle in the kids, before we go, and to NOT drive too fast, because accidents like this one can happen to anybody.
