The FB Fans Page “Diary of Studying Abroad” had a post, that three South Korean women came to Taiwan to travel together on their own, hired a cab to show them the sights, but, their underwear were forced off of them by the driver; the three women claimed, that after they’d taken that soft drink given to them by the driver they’d lost consciousness, one of the ladies who was still a little bit lucid said, “It seems, we may have been, raped!”, and they’d, posted it on Facebook, and asked someone who’s fluent in Korean, to assist them in notifying the police, as the article got out, the district attorney and police started working the case, they were able to find out the driver, Jeng, who may have been involved, and called him in to tell them what happened.
“Diary of Studying Abroad” quoted the post from café.naver.com, claimed, that three South Korean women came to Taiwan for a five-day-four-nights trip, and, in order to get around, they’d, hired a cab. The article stated, that the three Korean woman who’d stayed at a hotel in Ximenting called out to help, claimed, that on the evening of the twelfth, they lost consciousness after drinking a soft drink on the cab, that one of the ladies suspected, that her underwear was forced off of her.
The police started working the case yesterday, and, gotten to understand what the three ladies had experienced, the cab arrived at Shihlin Night Market at seven in the evening, the driver told the female passenger who wasn’t in a daze, that he’d look after the other two ladies, so she could stroll the streets to see the sights, as he’d dropped her off, he’d asked her, “Are you okay?” “Do you need help, getting back into the hotel?”. The three ladies slept through the next day, and after they woke, they suspected of having been drugged then raped by the cabdriver.
Based off of understanding, the two ladies who were out said, that they’d felt someone on top of them, that their bodies felt uncomfortable. One of them said, that she’d recalled how her friend was stripped in the cab, and she’d, attempted, to fight off her attacker.
After the three women woke, they’d asked for help online first, hoping, that there are Taiwanese people who’d understood Korean, to help them out, and posted the photo of the driver too, as well as the cab’s license plate.
The incident caused wide attention from Taiwanese and Korean online community, some criticized that the cabdrivers here are too awful, and, some doubted that the cabdriver couldn’t possibly rape all three ladies in one night.
The Wanhua Police Substation started investigating the case, they’d asked the specialty squad to take the women’s statements, then, to the hospitals to get examined, then, reported back to the Shihlin District Attorney’s Office; the D.A. is now, working the case personally.
So, this cabdriver took advantage of these women who were tourists, probably thought, that they couldn’t do anything about it, not being from around here, not being fluent in Chinese, that they couldn’t, FIGHT back, and, this LOSER who took advantage of these ladies will be caught, and punished severely I’m more than certain about it, and this still just shows, how when you go out to travel (anywhere, even IF it’s to a place you know!), you still need to be extra careful, because these sorts of AWFUL things can and will happen!
