Planned Out an Environmentally Friendly Wedding

Planning an unforgettable wedding, with the values of environmentalism as the emphasis, translated…

Remember that shortly after our wedding last year, I’d gotten pregnant. Recently, I’d received a text from my friend, asking how to have an environmentally friendly wedding, that, was when I was, shocked to realize, that a year had, flown right by; last year, around this time, I was, still, worrying about how to have a majestic, and practical wedding!

Back then, I’d wanted to, reduce the wastefulness, the first thing that came to mind was the wedding invitations. Although, there were an assortments of electronic invitations, but, it’d, lacked that texture. And, the natural way to save up the time, was to go to the printing companies, but, we’d needed to, have 200 made, and it would totally, become, wasteful.

some ideas for having an environmentally friendly wedding from online…

Hadn’t made the papers myself, I’d instinctively thought, that this, would be, an interesting experience, and so, I’d, found a website online, that will, teach me, to make the invitations myself. And, immediately, I got a response from a person online, saying that she would lend me all the materials, the equipment for the handmade invitations; and, there were, friends from online who recently got married who’d, told me she could give me the extra blank invitations to me for free, to reduce how much I’d needed, to make by hand, I was, truly, ecstatic and grateful to them. We’d never met, and not really known each other, and, can have more uses for things that we have available in our possessions, we were all, brought together, by this, shared value.

The first time I’d gotten all excited, and had all my friends come to my place, to help me make the invitations by hand, I was, immediately, hit, by defeat. I’d used the invitations I already have, but because the papers were too thick, I’d, broken TWO blenders right away. And, because the paper shreds weren’t, small enough, the papers won’t stick together, and in the end, I’d, ended up, with this bucket worth of goo. After my friends had left, I’d, bought the strong glues, mixed in the shredded newspaper pages, then, I’d, placed, that roughly finished paper onto the boards, after wiping it down, drying it up, it took two, three days, to finally, make one LARGE page, and, there were, several MORE large pages after the first!

keeping things simple, yet still, majestic…not my photograph.

In order to not consume any shark fins, to help protect the living things in the oceans, after the papers were made, I’d stuck that small card on how the ruler of the seas loved earth, it was, a married couple, holding an injured shark in their arms. And, as you would imagined, we’d, switched out the shark fins, and, because shark fins were, highly priced, we’d, accidentally, gotten upgrades on all other dishes, we’d, killed, two birds with one stone there.

Seeing those plastic wedding presents, although, they’d, looked flashy, but, the receivers only shared the joys of the newlywed right in the moment they’d received the gifts, and afterwards, it all become, garbage. I’d handed out the organically grown rice packets, as a take away gift for my guests, and used aluminum cups, cloth, along with other reusable, recyclable materials, to wrap it up. I hope, that the joys of our wedding, can become, this blessing to the earth as well.

So, this, is on being environmentally aware, this woman realized, that there wasn’t, any need, to get too flashy with her wedding invitations, she’d, handmade the invitations, and this would make the guests who received the invites feel very special, as the bride had, made the invites herself, and, she’d, given out the gifts that are, environmentally friendly too, hoping, that people will remember her wedding, as being environmentally friendly, hoping, that others can, carry the values she had, helped instill in her guests too.
