Just because this TWO-YEAR-OLD CHILD refused to eat her meals like she should, that still doesn’t give the caretaker the RIGHT, to use such force on the child, from the Newspapers, translated…
A female early childhood educator from a Catholic kindergarten, was accused of forcibly grabbing a two-year-old on the arms because he wouldn’t eat his meals, to remove him from the eating area, causing the toddler to have contusions on his arms, the Taipei District Court found Chang guilty of intentionally harming of a young child, sentenced her to fifty-days in prison, and she’d needed to pay a fine of $50,000N.T. This can be appealed.
“nope, I won’t have ANY food”, not my photo…
The forty-five-year-old Chang apologized to the parents afterwards, and begged for forgiveness from them, but the young girl’s parents refused to settle with her, the judge took into considerations that Chang had worked in the early childhood education industry for twenty years, she is a very experienced teacher, but, had used a bad way to teach a child, considering how she’d admitted to wrongdoing, didn’t have a prior, gave her a jail term, which she can pay a fine for, and not serve any time.
At noon on October 15, 2015, because the two-year-old wouldn’t eat her meals, she’d turned the bowls and the plates over, and started throwing a tantrum on the floors, she’d grabbed the toddler’s arms and shoulders hard, forcefully removed her out of the cafeteria, causing the toddler to have multiple contusions in her upper arms, in her armpits, and left side of her chest too.
“Everybody, DO what I do”, says the teacher!!! Not my photograph…
As the toddler returned home, and was bathed by her mother, she’d discovered the bruises, and reported it to school, and, Chang, the early childhood education immediately texted an apology to the parents, but the toddler’s mother still pressed charges against her.
So, just because a kid REFUSED to EAT her meals like she’s supposed to, and, she’s, only TWO years old, and we ALL know how hard two-year-olds are “handled”, as that, is the time when they started, establishing their autonomy, and, this caretaker lost her patience, and grabbed the child too hard.
