With the Help from Their Local Communities, Four Elderly Women Found Their Younger Selves Again

“My Teenage Years!”, the shops in the Yingtong Borough in the Midwestern side of Tainan worked with architecture department of Chenggong University, yesterday, they’d prepared the dresses for four elderly women, averaging at seventy years old, with the professor from Kun-Shan Technology, Chen helping them with makeup, Yeh, another professor, instructing them on posture and stance, helped dressed up the elderly women, dolled them up, and, helped them recover the lost days of their youth.

The Midwestern district’s Yingtong Borough, worked along with the local storefronts, hosted the “My Younger Days”, hoped to help the elderly in the community become more social, and so, they’d asked the professors into the communities, to help dressing the elderly up, putting on their makeups, and held the photo sessions, so the elders can walk backwards through time, to recall those younger, vibrant days of their youth.

Auntie Man said, that when she was younger, she’d worked long hours, and didn’t pamper herself one bit, and, rarely put on any makeup at all; especially because of how expensive the makeup are, they can’t even manage to keep themselves fed, let alone, thinking about putting on makeup, the first time she was a model, she felt like she was, a movie star.

Yang-Lin said, that as she got older, other than attending banquets or going to receive an award, she’d not normally put on makeup, it’d been over twenty years since she last put on the makeup. After she had her makeup done yesterday, it’d taken her back to her younger days, and this time, allowing the younger generations to help her, dressing her up, she felt really blessed!

Chen, who was responsible for putting the makeup on the elderly ladies said, that the elders all had amazing skin tones, and, only needed the powders for the base, and eyeliners, and lipsticks and the simpler makeup, she’d hoped, to host a runway show in the community, exchanging more interactions with the elderly population there, to help them make this special memory.

So, by getting these elderly ladies to doll up, this woman had, helped these elderly women return back to the days of their youth, and, this activity also helped bring the gaps between the generations closer, because in the process of helping them put their makeup on, the elderly would, share their life experiences with the younger generations, and, the younger generations can take from the elders’ experience in life too.
