You’d chosen him, knowing, how STUBBORN he is! Translated…
I don’t know how everybody else’s husband act, but, my husband is someone who kept to a strict schedule, whether it be living, clothes, food, or transportations, it’s, as if, there’s a set of code set up inside of him, he just, refused to change.
Awhile ago, the shirt that he’d gotten used to wearing, the factories closed down, and so, he’d needed to, find a new brand, I’d found, that he’d, picked and chosen the brands, and so, I’d washed his underwear by hand, then, set it out under the sun to dry, treated the underwear like it was, made of silk. But, after a few short days, my husband complained of how he’s itching everywhere when he wore the shirt, that something IS not quite right with this brand of underwear. I’d silently, rolled my eyes at him, this brand, was promoted by someone famous, there are also, multiple certifications on it, it’s your skin that’s too delicate.
Or as my son came home recently, I’d prepared some special dishes. The younger generations loved the western tastes, so, I’d added cheese to the pork chops I’d made, and now, my husband has objections again, believed, that the meats must be cooked with soy sauce, and best stir-fried with chives, garlic, leek, and ginger, that, is what makes the foods tasted right, with a total disregard of how HARD I’d worked, in making the meats.
If we’re on a shopping trip for groceries, he’d always gone to that same shop to get them, there were, other, newly opened shops, with better quality products, more discounts, but, he simply, refused, to change, he’d not mind, if he’d spent, extra money. After a few tries of attempting to get through to him, I’d stopped trying to get through to him, and started wondering, where did he get his WEIRD habits.
Yesterday, I saw how he was in the living room, watching the movie channels again, and, heaven only KNOWS, how many times that movie’s been played already, and yet, my husband NEVER gets tired of watching. I couldn’t help but mumbled, “You should know the lines in this movie already, such a waste of electricity and a waste of your time!”, but, my daughter who was playing on her cell close by opened up, “It’s not like this is your very first day knowing dad, hadn’t him been like this all along? It’s not bad at all, at least, you’re ALL that he’d ever loved, he will totally NEVER cheat on you!”
Hearing that, I’d become, dumbfounded, like, it’d taken me forever, to finally know this simple rule. My husband is STUBBORN, and, once he’d found something, he’d, STUCK to it to the very end, no wonder it’s like, I’m talking to AIR, with absolutely, NO reactions from, perhaps, he’d felt, that this is to last for life, that he’d gotten tired, having to find words to rebut me, I suppose.
So, maybe, the husband’s gotten used to the wife’s nagging, he’d learned to tune her out, or, he just became, DEAF whenever she’d started talking, but, this man has a SET schedule, SET way of doing things, and, I’m betting, that his wife fell in love, with how persistent he’d been from when they first wed, and now, as they got along, she’d found his persistence to become, stubbornness, so, she’d had complaints, but, the daughter pointed out the key point to her.
