Lee in Taoyuan was sent to prison for using violence toward his wife and daughter, and while he was serving time, he’d learned, that his wife was granted a divorce and took custody of their daughter, he’d carried a grudge, after he got out, he’d stabbed his own wife to death, then, burned charcoal, to murder his own young daughter, and claimed, that the feud between his in-laws and him shall never be over. The High Courts maintained the rulings of the appeal, found Lee guilty of murder, and sentenced him to death; this was the only other case where the death sentence is passed, after Jie Cheng.
In recent years, the cases of murder, other than Jie Cheng, none of the defendants received the death penalty; yesterday, the Highest Courts disclosed the reason of the opened verdict of death for this man, stressed, that “murdering someone, I won’t get the death penalty”, “I’d only killed one, I won’t get the death penalty”, was a mistaken belief; murdering a child, no matter WHAT the motives, is the most serious of all crimes, before our country do away with the death penalty, the justice system can only, rule with caution, case, by case.
Lee’s former father-in-law learned of the verdict yesterday, he’d felt relieved, said, that he’d no longer needed to worry, that after Lee’s release from prison, he will come after him and his family, and they’d no longer needed to fear, that Lee may murder the only young granddaughter either, “We’re grateful, for the justice system, for giving justice to the victims”. He will go to the shrine of his daughter and granddaughter, to tell them the verdict of the case.
The C.E.O. of the Anti-Death Penalty League, Lee stated, “No death penalty should be given to any perpetrator of any case.”
Lee (age 39) after he married, had behaved violently toward his wife and six and five year old daughters back then. Lee’s wife filed for a protective order, they’d separated, Lee suspected that his wife was with someone else; four years ago, he took his two young children with him, attempted suicide, to get back at his own ex-wife, but, he didn’t get to murder his two young children and finish his suicide attempt, he was sentenced to eleven months in prison, he’d entered into jail to serve his time.
As Lee learned that the judge allowed for the decree of divorce filed by his ex-wife, and took custody of his two young daughters, he’d carried a grudge, after his release, he’d planned out to murder her, including, the car switch, the hidden knife, and prepared the sleeping pills, along with the charcoal to commit suicide with afterwards. Two years ago on April 16, Lee stayed overnight outside his daughter’s kindergarten, saw his wife dropping their children to school, he’d forcibly taken is own eldest, and, stabbed his own ex-wife who’d gone up, to protect her own young, thankfully, the youngest child was quick enough, ran into the school.
Lee took his eldest to the mountain region of Jien-Shi in Hsinchu, fed her some sleeping pills, sealed up the windows, then, started burning the charcoal, in the end, Lee was saved, but, his eldest died, after two months’ of being in the hospital.
As the court was in session, the judge asked Lee, “Why did you end your own child’s life so soon?”, Lee replied, that he wasn’t satisfied of the results, “My youngest daughter is still alive” “If I get paroled, I will, go after her too”; the judge believed that Lee showed NO signs of remorse, and couldn’t be reformed.
So, this, is HOW awful the man took the displeasures of his own marriage OUT on his child, he’d, MURDERED his own daughter, and, he DESERVED the death penalty, as he’d planned to take revenge on his younger daughter too, so, before he can get out of jail, the judge decided, that he DESERVED the DEATH penalty!
