Finding a Ray of Light

How nature can have that awing effect on the hearts and souls, translated…

Since I was younger, I’d loved, gazing into the distances, especially, toward those, mesmerizing stars.

Later on, I’d heard of the Northern Lights, and fell hard, for the romanticism that it entailed.

Why did that light burn on? I’d closed the books, and, would rather believe, that it’s because people are, gazing up toward it.

feeling humbled by this once-in-a-lifetime experience here, not my photograph…

For this, I’d, especially flown to the North Pole in search of it.

But, the clouds and snow blocked my passage constantly. One evening, the sky was without obstructions, I’d rushed to ride out on the snow mobiles, pursued the origins of the lights through the plateau.

The snow mobile driver came from California, young, and handsome, said, he’d loved the Northern Lights as I had, and, Adele’s Someone Like You, he’d sang along with his heart again and again, ‘til the tears filled up his eyes, what, would he, be longing to see?

Recalling how I was, like a wanderer, wearing the moonlight and the stars, pursued my dreams, am I, not like the Northern Lights too?

But, who is, gazing towards me?

not my photograph still…

The weather turned bad all of a sudden. I’d hung on, to that dying heat, waited, patiently, and finally, under the Big Dipper, there was, that hidden, but there, floating light!

In the mistiness, I’d, lit up my own gaze toward the unknown.

No longer, am I, lost, in the darkness………

Such a profound experience this person had, going to see the norther lights, we will all feel, very small, in coming up to these grander things in nature, like when we’d hiked up to the top of that tall, tall mountain (with enough air supplies, of course!!!), we would feel awe, at how far we’d come, and, all the worries we’d carried with us, had been left, all the way, down below, that, would be the amazing healing effects of being around nature have on people’s hearts and souls, like it is for this man, to go see the Northern lights.
