A Man Found the $4.54 Million N.T. in Stolen Money, Was Indicted for Encroachment

The First Bank of Taiwan’s ATM machines were hacked this July, and a foreigner took over eighty million N.T.s from it, after the Latvian primary suspect, Andrew was caught, he’d told the cops, that he’d had the money stashed away in the mountains of Neihu, caused the locals to be out on a treasure hunt. An elderly man, Ke picked up $4.54 million N.T.s on the morning of July 20^th, and he’d turned the amount into the police sixteen hours later, and after he’d told the D.A. what happened, he’d pulled out another thousand dollar bill, the Shihlin’s District Attorney’s Offices found him not to fit the requirements of turning himself in, indicted him on encroachment charges.

Based off of criminal laws, encroachment charges can cost anywhere from $,500N.T. to $15,000N.T. in fines; the amount of stolen money that Andrews stashed away in Neihu was in the amount of $160 million N.T.s, had Ke first called it in, then, asked for rewards from the First Bank, he could’ve received $1.6 million N.T.s in payment.

Ke claimed that he’d not known about the “Vanished stolen money” that the outside world was talking about, that he’d just, hiked up the mountain, and found the bag, that he’d found so much money, he’d not known what to do with it, that, was why it took him sixteen hours to finally, turn it in to the police.

The District Attorney pointed out, that from the surveillance footage, it’d showed that Ke took the long way home, that he was only, trying to evade from getting punished for wanting to keep the stolen money.

So, this elderly man is regretting how he’d not, turned the money in sooner, and, it’s easy, to get tempted, to take all the money for yourself, after all, you’d NEVER seen so much money in your lives, and, you got, a bit too, greedy, and, now, you’re, charged for the crimes of encroachment, and, the elderly man must be thinking he should’ve, but, that’s all, water under the bridge now…
