After all this woman had weathered, her trials in life are still NOT quite over yet! Translated…
Nobody would shake in disbelief, that Fang is only at the start of her thirties, looking so weathered and all. Fang’s husband is a physically violent man, he’d loved getting drunk, and switched a total of twenty-FOUR bosses a year, and the entire household’s finances are completely reliant on Fang to keep. Seeing how hard her life became, Fang’s families attempted to persuade her to get a divorce, seeing how her husband still hadn’t changed his ways for so many years, they can’t understand why she’s torturing herself by staying married to her husband. But, she’d insisted, that her kids are still, way too young to be without a father, the older daughter, in the first grade, and her younger son, just three-years-old, they’d still, needed to have a dad around.

To Fang, her kids were like, presents from heaven, they were very close to her, and wonderful, every time they saw their dad coming home drunk, making rants, they’d always, stand in front of Fang. Fang said, it’d gotten to the point, that she no longer gave a SHIT what her husband did anymore, after all, she’d still, needed to mind her own children, needed to make the ends meet, getting the bills paid, with her measly wages, and had to give the money to her in-laws, and her credit card debts, they were, pressing down, really hard on her.
A few months later, I saw Fang again, she’d told me, that she’d just, become a widow. I’d asked her what had happened? Turns out, alcohol had, ruined, a life, in the middle of the nights, Fang’s husband drove home drunk, and ran into the tree on the sidewalk, died on the scene. After I’d heard, I was, really worried, the kids are still so very young, how was, Fang going to be able to, take care of them all by herself, and I’d asked if there are insurances to cover her husband’s death? A few years ago, her husband started working for an insurance agent, and it was, during the period that he’d spent away, MOST of the money too, not only did he earn NO commissions, he’d helped paid for his relatives’ and friends’ coverage too, that, was how Fang’s husband accumulated so much credit card debts.
But Fang said, although her husband had insurances, but being the eldest son, the money directly, went into her mother-in-law’s pockets now, and Fang had NO place to ask her about it. And, she’d still needed to pay for the expenses of the large family’s needs by the month, other than one less placement at the supper tables, everything had, remained the same. Being traditional in her belief, and given in, to her own fate, she’d not dared seek out help from her own family, for the sake of her two young kids, she can only, bite down hard on her teeth, not knowing, if her unimportant life, will turns around one day.
This, would be how traditional beliefs SCREWS over this woman, her husband WAS a deadbeat while he was still alive, and, after he’d died, you’d think that this woman can be done, serving her 20 to life, but now, she’d still needed to PAY, for the living of her god DAMN in-laws, and, she doesn’t get a CENT from her husband’s insurance coverage, and what’s odd to me was, how this woman can just, take it all in stride, doesn’t she even know to FIGHT back? Apparently, that, is NOT how the ladies were educated to do here, they were supposed to follow, and OBEY, and just DO as they were told, and that’s, still because of this age-old sexist belief that started from the beginning of time…
