Some kindness, from a traveling companion, that was shown, at the moment of need, translated…
Three years ago, by chance, I went on a trip led by a retired Chinese teacher to Austria. A student of hers was among the tourists, someone who’s familiar with Europe, a travel expert, and I, who wanted to visit the scene of the Sound of Music, we were, on the same page, with the same goals, things we hoped to get from this trip.

As the wonderful trip closed to an end, as we boarded the planes, it was, past suppertime, and, there’s only the light snacks services provided onboard the flight. Because I have stomach troubles, and, I can’t withstand the hunger, so, I’d described my condition to the flight attendant, hoping that she can understand my predicament, and give me a cup of instant noodles. She’d told me, that it would cause the rest of the passengers not have any food, and that I would be the only one who gets the food, while everybody around me just watched me eat, that the flights no longer provided these services, and so, I can only, run up to the business class, to ask the Chinese instructor for help.
Not long thereafter, in the jam-packed and populated plane, the instructor who’s over seventy, with hairs all white, walked slowly, with a carefully held sandwich, as her gentle eyes searched through the passengers, to find me, who’s now, crouched, and starved in my seats; at the moment I saw her, tears were circling in my eyes. Not long thereafter, she’d brought over the fruits too, I was so moved that I’d tried to get up, to hug her, but, she’d patted me on the shoulders gently, said, “I know, just eat up.” After I’d had this, savory, fulfilling meal, I’d, fallen asleep soundly, like a child who was fed.
It’s been three years already, and this scene still runs around in my mind, I’d wanted to, change this experience into words, to tell the teacher how her kindness from that day had, deeply impacted me to this very day.

So, this, is the kindness from a traveling companion, and, the instructor saw that someone needed her, and, offered a warm hand to the narrator, and, it’d, touched the narrator very much, and, she’s finally put her gratitude down into words, wrote out this article, to tell the world of the kindness of her traveling companion.
