Cooking with Her, Who’s Been Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s…the Elderly Woman Gained Her Smiles Back Again

Allowing the demented elderly to participate, to do what she used to love doing, helps slow down the progressions of her Alzheimer’s, and it makes her happier too, from the Newspapers, translated…

The eighty-year-old elderly woman is excellent in cooking, would often cook the healthier meals that satisfied her families, but after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she’d easily injured herself while cooking, forgotten to turn off the gas, and the family had, hired a foreign help to help with her daily living and the meals, but the elderly woman started losing her smiles, not wanted to talk anymore, even stayed at home all day long, and, she’d become, even more deteriorated away.

just because the elderly person has Alzheimer’s, doesn’t mean that the families should ban her/him from doing what s/he used to be good at, not my photograph…

Cooking for her families, is the elderly woman’s source of happiness, but, that’s stripped away after she got ill. Two years later, her son stopped hiring the household help, and the family members would accompany the elderly to cook in the kitchen, and, being able to cook again had, put that smile back on the elderly woman’s face, and she’d felt satisfied with her life now.

So, the family realized, that being able to cook is something that this elderly woman is proud of, she loved making the meals for her families, that, is how she feels useful, and, after the family hired that household help, the elderly was stripped away of her love, of making the meals for the family, and so naturally, she’d, deteriorated even more quickly, but gladly, her family realized this, and worked with her in the kitchens, to make the meals with her, and that will, hopefully, slow down the deterioration process…
