A man, Wu, was suspected of hanging his own pet to death, then, took the dog’s body to the local police subprecinct, turned himself in; he’d claimed, that he was about to enlist into the services, that he feared he couldn’t possibly keep his pet, that, was why he’d, strangled it to death, after police interrogated him, they booked him based off of animal cruelty.
Wu dropped out of technical high school, and wasn’t employed, as he turned himself in, he had that hollowed look in his eyes, just carried his pet’s body, and sat, dumbfounded, and, he was slow to answer the inquiries of the police officers, and after the interrogations, he’d become, very emotional, kept saying, “I can’t go home now, I will totally get grilled by my mother for sure!”, the police suspected that he had a mental condition.
Last month on the evening of the 28th, around nine, the man, Wu (age 19), carried his dog to the Sanming Subprecinct of the Songshan Police Substations in the city of Taipei, he’d claimed to the officers, that he’d strangulated the puppy to death with a rope in the staircases of his house, the officers examined the dog, and its eyes were shut and it wasn’t breathing.
Wu claimed, that three years ago, he’d taken the puppy in from the street, the dog was about four years old, he’d often send it to the groomers to get bathed, but, he was about to enlist into the armed services and couldn’t look after it anymore, and he couldn’t give it to someone else to keep, and so, he’d chosen to, end the dog’s life, and after he’d killed his own dog, “I’d held it and cried for over an hour”.
Wu claimed, that at seven o’clock in the evening that day, he’d put the leash around the dog’s neck, pulled it up in the air, causing the dog to die of asphyxiation, after he saw that the dog wasn’t breathing anymore, he’d carried its body and cried very hard over it, then, turned himself in. The police went to Wu’s residence, and there were dog hair, scattered everywhere in the staircase, it was suspected to be the place where “Yellow” had struggled hard for its life, the police couldn’t understand, “how could he have done it?”
After the Animal Protections Agency got the calls from the police, they’d believed that Wu had broken the laws against animal protection. The Animal Protections Law Amendment Six, section 25 stated, that no one shall abuse or harm an animal, if someone caused an animal to become severely injured or to lose a life, the individual shall be placed in jail for under a year’s term, and fined from $100,000N.T. to $1,000,000N.T.’s.
So, based off of this man’s claims, it was, for the MERCY of his own pet, that he’d, MURDERED it so brutally, there are, other options that this man could’ve taken, like place his dog in the care of someone he’d trusted, like a friend, and after he served his term in the army, then, he can, get his dog back, there are, just so many other options, but, maybe, he was, too attached to his pet, and couldn’t withstand the thought of it being without him, that he’d, put an end to his beloved pet’s life, but, that’s still just, my speculations, we don’t know for sure, what, is going through the mind of this man as he killed his beloved pet…
