How love became murder, a thin line between love AND hate here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A man, Yang was on bad terms with his wife, last year, they’d gotten into a verbal altercation because of property rights, Yang picked up a butcher knife, and hacked at his own wife, he’d punctured her abdomen, to the point that her intestines were showing, the woman bore with the pains, made her get away, banged on the neighbors’ ironclad doors to call for help, with her arms around her stomach, crying, “Look at my intestines!”, the Shihlin District Attorney’s Office indicted Yang on attempted murder, and asked the judge to give him a heavy sentence.
The sixty-eight year-old Yang and his wife, Ke were married for over a decade, and, Ke’s daughter from a previous marriage, Lin lived with them too; Yang treated her like she were his own, and given her the property, the land he had in Shijr too. But, in these past years, the couple started distancing from one another, they’d separated, and, they’d started arguing endlessly over the property rights. Last year on the morning of October 9th, Yang went to his wife’s resident, demanded her to return the “gift” back to him, his wife refused, Yang ran into the kitchen, grabbed a butcher knife, and started hacking at her abdomen.
Yang’s hacking his wife down caused a cut of a little over three inches, Ke, because of the puncture, her intestines were showing, and Yang still continually, hacked at her head, she’d defended herself using her right hand, her right forearm was also, injured as well.
Ke screamed aloud at her daughter who was outside then for help, Yang saw her trying to get away, he’d hacked her calves again, causing Ke to be covered in blood. The daughter saw and attempted to block her stepfather from her mother, but was, pushed to the side; Ke used the time to get away, and banged hard on the neighbor’s door for help.
As the paramedics arrived, Yang had, walked past them, as if nothing had happened. Chu, the female neighbors told, that she’d heard the arguments from the house, as Ke banged hard on her door, she’d cried, “Look at my intestines!”, then, lifted up her coat it was, shocking, after being rushed to the hospital, Ke’s life was spared.
Afterwards, Yang turned himself in, but denied having attempted to murder his own wife, claimed, “I’d not known that her intestines were showing outside!”, stressed that it was, him, using too much force in the argument that’s caused his wife’s injuries.
Yang told, that the house was bought using his savings, that it’s only right, that he’d asked the mother and daughter to return it to him. The D.A. believed, that Yang hacked down his own wife because of an argument, and that the victim is still very scared, “what’ll happen if he gets out”, and that the judge should give him a harsher sentence; after Yang was taken into protective custody, the judge mandated that he be under police custody continually.
So, this, is still, in a heated moment, because they were engaged in this fervent argument, and, he’d lost it, and let his anger take control, which, was probably why he’d used so much force, in attempted to murder his own wife, and now, he’d charged too.
