A part-time model/magician, Liao two years ago, took advantage to molest a female college student using the excuse of teaching her magic, but thankfully, the college student was intelligent enough and told him, “My father’s a police officer”, that made Liao stopped trying to rape her, after the college female student break away from danger, she’d pressed charged, but in court, Liao denied ALL allegations, said that the college student wanted to make it rich by accusing him, but after the case was appealed to the Highest Courts, the judge didn’t believe Liao’s words, on the 23rd, the judge sentenced Liao to nine months in jail, case closed.
Other than being a magician, Liao also part-timed as a male model, with a little fame already. He’d performed on the talk show, “Here comes Kangxi”. In April of 2014, the female college student who was only twenty-one, met Liao at a show in the malls, the next month, Liao used the excuse of introducing her to gigs, invited her to dine with him, and in the midst of the dinner, he’d asked her if she was interested in learning to perform magic, the female student didn’t feel that it was dangerous, and went with him. Afterwards, Liao asked the female college student to accompany him back to his residence to pick up his outfits for performance, and taught her to do some magic tricks, the female student didn’t sense any danger, and just followed him.
But, Liao had taken the advantage of using the excuse of teaching her a magic trick, forced a kiss on her, and pushed her downward, with the attempts to rape her. After that, the female college student screamed out, “My father is a police officer!”, that, was when Liao let go, and the college student was able to make her getaway, and she’d immediately reported the incident to the police.
Afterwards, Liao denied the allegations of attempted rape, but the judge noted that Liao said he was interested in the female college student. However, the surveillance footage showed the female college student leaving Liao’s resident, and they’d interacted like strangers, plus the woman’s injuries corresponds to being pinned down, the judge believed that Liao did, attempt to molest the woman sexually, on the first and second trials, the judges gave him NINE months in prison, and on the 23rd, the Highest Courts tossed back Liao’s appeals to get his sentence reduced.
So we still have here, a CRIME of OPPORTUNITY, and this just shows how dangerous it is in this world, after all, if a random stranger who thinks you’re hot can attempt to rape you, how can we all be safe, walking down the streets, right? But gladly, this LOSER got caught and was punished, but, the severity of his punishment, is still NOT harsh enough, because how would you know, that he won’t, attempt the same thing again? After all, this time, he’d only gotten away with a slap on his wrists!
