His Sick Mother Loved Playing with Fire, the Son Watched Her Every Single Night, But Still Couldn’t Keep Her from Burning Down the House, Causing the Mother to Die

Someone who’s mentally ill, with a love of playing with fire, a DEADLY combination!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

In a steel shack in Gangshan District in Kaohsiung there was a fire, around the midnight hours yesterday, the woman, So who has a handicap manual couldn’t make her way out, became a charcoaled corpse, by the windows on the second floor.  So’s son told the officers, that his mother would light up fires a lot, and didn’t know, how the fire was started.  As the firefighters put out the blaze, they’d found, that So’s bedroom door was locked, and, the reason of the fire is under investigations.

it’ll burn out of control quickly enough all right, not my photograph here!

The police investigated and found, that So (age 62), is mentally ill, had wandered off several times, and the family members had called the police to help get her back.  And So had multiple times, used a lighter to start fires in her home, thankfully, each time, she was discovered by her two sons who lived next to her steel shack, they’d pulled the hoses from their houses to help put out the fires; and her forty-six year-old eldest son feared that his mother might start fires at random, had camped out by the first floor steel stairs every night, and, whenever he saw there are lighters in his mother’s room, he’d, confiscated it from her.

Early morning yesterday at 1:40, So’s neighbors heard crackling sounds, and smelled the smokes, walked outside, saw the steel shack next door to have smoke and fire burning in it, they’d immediately notified the fire department.

As the fire department was called, they’d immediately sent a fire engine and firefighters over.  The ignition point of the fire was So’s second-floor home, the smoke was building up, So’s eldest son was pulling the hoses, and turning on the waters and trying to fill it into his own mother’s bedroom, but, there wasn’t enough water, and the second-floor of the steel shack was already, taken over by the burning blazes.

because you get that HIGH, watching something burn???  Not my photograph…

So’s two sons told the firefighters, “Our mother is still inside”, firefighters immediately pulled the hoses and started filling up, as they’d gone upstairs to attempt to rescue her, they’d found the second-floor bedroom locked, they’d broken down the doors, and, it took them nearly twenty minutes to put out the blazes.

As the firefighters entered into the apartment complex, they’d found that So was already charcoaled by the window on the second floor.  While So’s eldest son was attempting to put out the flames, he’d gotten burned on his hands, feet and legs, six-percent of his body suffered second-degree burns, he was rushed to the hospital, and was in no life-threatening danger.

So, this is either a suicide or an accident, we can’t know for sure, but it looks more like an accident for now, because the mother loved playing with fires, and, she’d started a fire, and somehow, locked herself inside her bedroom (which makes it look like a suicide!), and the woman died, and the two men lost their mother, so, the tragedy hit, this family here!
