The cause of death, L-O-V-E!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
The officer, Yang who works in the Civilians’ Directions Offices of the Police Department, was found yesterday morning, to have died by hanging himself on the roof of the dormitory buildings, the police found a note in his quarters, it’d stated, “I don’t want to become tangled up with the other individual anymore”, and asked his family members, to scatter his ashes into the oceans, they suspected that he may have killed himself because of relationship difficulties.
Yang (age 43), graduated from the 70th Police Academy Training Sessions, because his own is in the south, he’d normally lived in the dormitories on Wanlong Street, Taipei.
Based off of understanding, Yang is not married, he has a girlfriend, but was separated from her, rarely did he talk about his relationship statuses with his coworkers, and his family members didn’t know enough about his relationship with his girlfriend either; he’d asked for days off last Tuesday and Wednesday, his coworkers guessed that he went to discuss breaking up with his girlfriend, but as he’d returned back to work, he’d joked and laughed with them, there wasn’t anything off about him.
The police said, that at ten in the morning, Yang failed to show up at the station, and, the department didn’t get his leave of absence notice, they’d sent officers to the first and second floors of the dormitories to check, and they were able to finally find him, on the roof, where the laundry was hung, he had been dead for a while already.
Yang wrote a page-and-a-half of final note, the first part mentioned about how he’d “not been lucky in love”, and his struggle inside, said that he couldn’t “find a safe harbor for my emotions, I can’t fill up my loneliness.” At the end of his note, he’d mentioned, “I’m going now”, wanted his family to sell the house he has in Kaohsiung that was rented out.
So, here we still have, a man who couldn’t get over a lost love, and, we can only guess at what happened, perhaps, it’s the distance between him and his girlfriend that’s caused them to split, or that maybe there was, someone new, who knows, but, this man died, because he couldn’t deal with being alone, because the loneliness he felt took over him, that drove him to commit suicide!
