Is it, Hard, to Drive Slower?

Speaking on behalf of the roadkill here!!! Translated…

My good friend, Deng-Li Wu who lives in Huashan, Yunlin, posted some pictures on Facebook last week. That day, he’d gone with several friends to find the dragonflies in the mountain regions of where he lived, as he’d turned onto the mountain passes, there was, an oriental rat snake crossing the roads, the oriental rat snakes are the longest snake in the populations of wild snakes in Taiwan, they can reach up to 250 centimeters in length, although they’re not venomous, they’re not at all easy going or mild in temperament, nor were they a protected species. They’d stopped for a few minutes, then, picked up their paces, and saw another beautiful red bamboo snake, this one was, not so lucky as the last, already flattened out, by the wheels of a car, became, a corpse, it’s not easy, driving up and down these mountain passes, but, it’s not hard, to avoid hitting these snakes, but for humans, there’s nothing else on the road, except the road itself.

Roadkill, a term to describe all the animals killed on the roads by cars, driven by humans, as the developments headed deeper into the mountains and the forests, toward the coastlines, the habitats of wildlife started being reduced by a great deal, and, roadkill became a day-to-day, regular apologies of “Oops, I’m so sorry!”

this, is very dangerous, and yet, their adults don’t teach them to “look BOTH ways”!!!

Every summer, the crabs would go hand-in-hand, cross the highways, for the seasons of hatching; the females with their eggs, in the calls of the tides, followed their instincts, not paying any heed to the oncoming traffic, ran towards the oceans. With their sizes of that of a ten-dollar coins, they’d become dark patches of stains left on the freeways after getting crushed, and, there would be, up to thousands of these, new black stains on the freeways every single day! Had it not been for the volunteers, filming the process of how they’d become roadkill, the tourists would probably keep on believing, that they were, oil stains left by cars.

Would some of the animals that died crossing the road affect us humans? We wouldn’t know for certain, but standing by the side of the roads, hearing those living organisms, burst like bubbles, as they get crushed by passing cars, who doesn’t feel the pains? Perhaps, those drivers or riders who refused to slow down, they’d reminded their own children, to look both ways when they cross the roads, as they, popped those animals, speeding on the roads.

it might be just sleeping or playing dead, as a defense mechanism???  oh wait, it’s, unresponsive…photo from online…

This, is how SELFISH humans are, we take everything for granted, because we THINK we are at the very TOP of the food chains, and that gives us the rights, to fucking not pay any attention to the resources we’re currently, wasting away, until one day, when it’ll be, too late, because EVERYTHING we or our forefathers had done, will ALL come back around to our grandchildren, and their grandchildren too, and, we don’t even realize, that the EARTH is out on loan, to us…
