This is still NOT because I’m an ILLITERATE here!!!
I’m currently reading this Chinese book, and, I find it, very difficult for me, to read, not that it’s boring, or whatever, but because of the subject discussion of the book.
The book is about a man, who was, raped by his aunt and uncle and cousin, he was, left by his parents, in his grandparents’ house, where, his aunt and uncle and older cousins used him like a sexual playmate, and, he was, so very young, and, I’m to the point in the book where his parents finally took him home, but, his nightmares were nowhere FROM over yet.
His parents kept telling him what happened to him didn’t happen, that he’d, made it up, and told him, to STOP lying! Growing up in his aunt and uncle’s household, he had, just that ONE friend, a pet, but, the dog was, taken away from him, by his aunt, because he’d, “misbehaved” himself, fought back when they tried to rape him again, and again, and again.
This, is a book, I’m having, a lot of difficulties reading, because I can relate to what happened to the writer too well, and, he’s still on, his own healing processes, even to this day, he was raped by his kin when he was very young (single-digit years), and now, his already in his thirties, found an amazing woman that he married, and yet, he’s still, having nightmares from his childhood years.
And this, is still, a TRUE story, of the details of a boy, growing up in difficult circumstances, and he’d decided, to write it all out, gotten published, to help bring about more awareness to the world in shedding light on what’s happened to his own life, as well as these awful things that are still, happening all around.
Abuse does NOT stop, simply because you want it to stop, you must, MAKE it stop, so, start FIGHTING back, against those who abused you!!!
