As the Coffee Turned Colder…

As the coffee turned colder, it’d, lost that original flavor, and, it’d also, become, bitterer now too…

As the coffee turned colder, so did the love we once knew, I sat here, staring, at this swirly, cup of coffee, that’s, lost its heat already, and, I tried, thinking hard, to a time, just minutes before, when the cup of joe was still, very hot (‘cuz that’s how I like my coffee!!!), and how it’d, waken me up, kicked off, all those sleeping bugs inside of my brains, and now, look at it, it’d turned cold, it’s still, just as bitter, if not more so now!

with the same amounts of caffeine, and yet, for some unknown reasons, it’d, tasted, bitterer now…

As the coffee turned colder, so did our love, and, even though, I’d hated cold coffee, I’d still, downed the remaining cup in one gulp, ‘cuz I’d not wanted it, to go to waste, after all, things cost, more and more by the day now, don’t you know…

As the coffee turned colder, I’d, decided, what the HECK! I’d gone to the kitchen sink, rinsed out my cup, and, poured out that kettle of water, used to make my coffee, there’s, NO need to, reheat up the water to broiling again, so I can have, a hotter, cup of coffee.

As the coffee turned colder, I’d, savored it, because it’d tasted, even bitterer now, more so than I can, ever imagined, and, it’s like, tasting life, I know, that eventually, I will, finish this cup of joe that’s, already turned colder, and, I’ll be able to, move on, to better things, but NOT until I finish this current cup that I’m on right now though………
