On the way to work in the morn, translated…
The traffic light up ahead turned red, and I’m, stuck in morning traffic, the very first time I saw him, in a farmer’s hat, walking slowly, during the slow-moving traffic. At the moment’s time, I’d complained to myself, that he’d not taken heed of his own safety one bit.
Until he’d around, walked toward my car, I’d realized that he only has a right arm. A small bamboo basket, with a red string, hung around his neck, a small handkerchief, with a row of magnolias orderly, lined out on it, with a small spray bottle that hung on the right waist, perhaps, it’s, used to, keep the moisture in the flowers. I saw him, in all smiles, raising up a bundle of flowers with his right hand, “Sir, do you want a bundle of magnolias, it will make your car aromatic the entire day!” Sweat, the size of soybeans were, rolling from his forehead, down his cheeks, and he couldn’t wipe them away.
this is what was happening here, photo from online…
I’d bought a bundle from him, hung it right in front of the air-conditioning of my car, and, mentioned that he should, watch out for his own safety, looking at how surprised he was, I guess, perhaps, nobody ever, paid any attention to someone who’s, physically handicapped, and trying, to make a living, walking amid traffic. The lights turned green, the traffic started, flowing, from my rearview, I saw him, dodged the cars, as he made his way, to the traffic islands.
Ever since, there would be, magnolias’ scents, flowing, inside my car.
So, this, is the ins and outs of the world, the man showed cares and concerns for the handicapped flower peddler, which, was an act of extreme kindness toward the peddler, because he probably never had anybody show him any kindness, as he worked hard, walking amid traffic, trying to sell the magnolias…
