Athena Angeles had two black eyes and a swollen face when she walked into a doctor’s clinic in Connecticut, on October 18, 2011. Court records said, that she had been punched on the forehead.

About a month later, the three-year-old girl showed up at her preschool with bruises on her face, lips and her left nostril. She showed up with even more bruises on her face the next day.

Then, at about 1:30 a.m. on November 23, 2011, Athena was taken to the hospital with a fever and a laceration on the back her head that required several staples.

Eighteen hours later, Athena, in cardiac arrest, was rushed back to the hospital. She had bruises on her abdomen and was bleeding internally. Court records say she’d been punched in the stomach and ribcage.

She died that day.

And, the authorities “excused” themselves for not paying any attention by stating how sometimes, these sorts of abuses are “hard to notice”…

This would still be, the tragic death of a young child, by abuse, and, imagine how much, how long this young child must’ve suffered, before she’d died, what her small body had to endure through, to finally, stop working completely. But, it’s just, the loss of another young life we all eventually forget by, tomorrow………unless, we all do something about it, to put an end, to this sort of abuse!
