He’s someone who can’t trust his own emotions, because ever since he was a young child, his emotions had, gotten him into trouble after trouble, after trouble.
Like that time he’d cried, when the dog “mistook” his hand as a bone that he could chew on? Sure, the wounds were, superficial, just on the surfaces of his skin, but, as he’d let out that yelp, his father came running, and saw him in tears, because he was physically, injured, and, his father told him, in a straight face, “Don’t cry, son, man UP! Getting bitten by a dog never killed nobody!”

That, was how he was raised, and, several times after that, when he was injured or hurt, he’d started crying, and, time and time again, his pops had, scolded him for being “weak”.
And, before you know it, he’d learned to stop crying those tears completely, and, started distrusting his own emotions, because he’d never been, allowed, to experience his negative emotions fully, and properly.
Someone who can’t trust his own emotions, he’d grown up to be, and, once he’d started, fitting into that mold completely, he’d lost, the flexibilities, to make himself change, and because, someone who’s, totally, calloused and unfeeling, indifferent, about the world around him…
