The case of a nurse’s aide getting raped by their boss, the primary cause being that they’d lived with the family 24/7, and it became, an opportunity, for the homeowners who misbehaved. And, the way to resolve this, is by setting up a nine to five working system, but for Taiwan, that’s grown completely reliant on foreign hired helpers, the society still, refused to face this issue.
A society that knew shame must be able to introspect, the system of foreign hired help used in Taiwan is the same as slavery. In order to end this phenomenon, there’s only one way, and that would be establish a well-rounded, a good enough long-term care program.
Because in the past, Taiwan has NO idea about long-term care, believed that hiring a few cheap companions is called caretaking, that, was why this country had, introduced over 200,000 foreign hired helpers, causing the problems to show up one by one right now.
If the foreign hired helpers work by the systems of clocking in and out, that way, they can have a place, to file their grievances, and they can avoid from being too close to those who’d hired them. It’s just, that for this sort of a policy to get implemented, we must first, have enough funding, to get the country’s own nurse’s aides to work more willingly, then, we can, slowly, replace the system of hiring for foreign nurse’s aides had household helps.

Taiwan spent over forty billion dollars on the fees for hiring of foreign workers, and, based off of the wages that the nurse’s aides are paid here, it should be, three times higher, at least, meaning that it’ll run up to $120 billion N.T.s, then, the same amount of work, same amount of effect can be, achieved. But, the current government was only able to find a little over $30 billion N.T.s of the total cost, and the government had, rounded up all the money they could possibly find to get to this point.
A government that refused to see “the reliance of foreign hired helper syndrome”, is not only overlooking the social securities of the elderly populations, as well as denying the rights of these foreign workers, it’d caused Taiwan to gain the reputation of becoming a nation made possible by slavery too.
So, long-term care is still a huge problem, not just here, but everywhere around the world today, it’s just, that the systems here are used to hiring someone from elsewhere to work, because the workers are a HELL of a lot more expensive here than if you imported someone to work for the families, and, this will be a problem, that continues for generations to come…
