From an elementary school teacher, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
The instances of a middle school instructor, getting into duels in poetry with her students using the assignment books, as a way of teaching, made me smile, and, I was also, moved by it.
In the traditional beliefs, the assignment books are nothing more than a means of communication between the parents and children, and a way of relaying what the homework assignment of the day is; but, don’t know when, that the assignment books became the most straightforward way that teachers interacted with their pupils, becoming, a useful tool, in students’ learning processes.
I’d see teachers with artistic backgrounds who’d used drawings to “communicate” with her students every day, and, even as the instructor graded the tests and the homework assignments, she would add sketches and pictures to the papers; and still, there would be teachers who’d scheduled different lessons and different styles of learning every single day, for instance, Monday, a mini-diary entry, Tuesday, copying the verses, Wednesday, copying the poetry, Thursday, making sentences with idioms, Friday, do a news story. I’d even seen math teachers who would assign a few math problems every single week, or problems that require logical thinking skills for their students to solve; and, there are those instructors who would, interact with their students on a level of more depth, based off of what the students wrote down.

I’d often contemplated, that if I’d allowed my students to write creative sentences on their assignment books, would I be, placing more pressures on them? What the kids told me was, that if the problems are thought-provoking and interesting, then, they would be more driven to solve them, and the parents believed, that this sort of interaction I have with their young is, more meaningful too. From the angle of learning, learning a little bit every single day, the accumulations would be enormous.
The teachers can also use some creativity in thought, feed the students a multivariate of information, for instance, international news, environmentalism beliefs, Sudoku, finances, and, by this way, it wouldn’t take any of the time in class, the kids would have fun, learning the information.
And so, the assignment books have great influences, and it all depends on how we utilize this means of communication.

So, this, is a teacher’s thought, and, he is right, in that the contact books are NOT just for the sake of keeping track of the assignments due tomorrow, it also served as a means of communication between the parents and the instructors, you just need to put a little extra thought into utilizing it is all.
