You can understand why a father would make a man who’d left his own daughter at the altar do this, right??? But he may have, gone about it, too rashly, from the Newspapers, translated…

A man, Ou-Yang was displeased at how Liu, the man who’d promised to marry his daughter had, gone back on his promises, he’d rounded up people he knew, forced Liu to get on his knees, to his house, to apologize, and, forced him to read the apology drafted up by him, he was prosecuted by the district attorney, the Taipei District Court yesterday found Ou-Yang guilty, of forced behaviors, gave him a two-months jail sentence, that he could pay $60,000N.T. to get out of serving time, and the case can still be appealed.

Ou-Yang called Liu “cunning”, and in the draft he’d written, he’d listed seven wrong-doings that Liu had, committed, called him a pompous loser, hated, unforgivable; with NO sense of filial piety whatsoever, it’d, offended his family, that he should go to the bottommost layer of hell, that he’d, damaged the reputation of the household by going back on the promises to marry his daughter, that he’d behaved badly, and was, hated; claimed, “you’d ignited that beast in me, I’m blood thirsty now, even if I have to become broke, lose my own life, I will, make you pay, a million times more than I had.”

Ou-Yang also asked Liu to make an appearance to his home, to publicly apologize, and, staying kneeled for four hours on end, at his front door, to become silent on the internet.

Based off of understanding, Liu claimed online, that the woman’s side of the family had their eyes on his money, and, for that, Ou-Yang went to his home, and, punched him, and was charged with damages; Ou-Yang used the fact that his family is Catholic, and that he’d already, gotten started with the wedding plans, that there are, too many things scheduled already, and that he was called when he was having his hair done, that he’d needed to cancel everything, he’d become, angered by this.

The verdict pointed out, that two years ago on April 28th, he, his wife, and three other adults paid a visit to Liu’s workplace, dragged Liu outside, and, slapped him across the face several times, then, demanded that he’d read what was written on the paper that he’d handed to him, and after that, he’d had Liu take a photo of the drafts, and sent it to Liu’s father, he was, charged with forced behaviors, by the D.A.’s office.

So, this father may have gone too far, in getting his supposed son-in-law to apologize in such a rash manner, and, we don’t really know what else was involved, maybe, the daughter was so distraught that he’d hurt herself or something, that the father just wanted, the man who’d broken his daughter’s heart to pay, but he’d gone about it, too rashly.
