Table Café Liked Hiring the Elderly Population to Work There, and Set Up a Way to Divide Up the Tasks Among the Workers

A lot of the corporations saw hiring the elderly as a risk, but the C.E.O. of Tables Café, Chung had hired a huge number of elderly, and treated his workers like his companions. He’d said, that letting the elderly in the population feel they’re still able to contribute to the world is very important, that the elderly workers’ past experiences and knowledge that they had, will become this driving force that’s needed for the enterprises to improve.

As Chung shared, he’d told of how he’d turned into his family’s restaurant into a friendly working environment for the elderly workers, some of the elderly workers had troubles seeing, so, the restaurant would not have them work as waiters, taking the orders of the guests; for a worker who loved taking photos, he’d had her spend the first five minutes working, taking photos of the work environment, how people are interacting, then, having her upload the photos into the website, shared her thoughts, then, start her day working there; and, in order to help up the level of self-confidence of those introverted elderly workers, he’d had the employee make him coffee every single day, and he’d given out praises and commends to the coffees she’d made for him.

Chung said, that in order to have the work, fitting for the elderly’s physical abilities, he’d often split up the steps of a task to three parts, and have two, to three elderly workers to handle the tasks, to simplify the items at work, and giving them flexible workhours, and, giving the employees encouragements and affirmations, treated his workers like his family, it can all make the elderly workers willing to give everything that they have, “from people’s views, you’d find, that there are, many positive qualities of the elderly population of workers!”

The manager of a security company said, that they couldn’t find people to work for the company, even though they’d posted those want-ads every single day in the papers, that as the interviewees came in, the first thing they’d inquired was the benefits, that they’d not even, taken the time to understand the requirements of the work field, that it was, hard for him, to hire someone.

And so, here, we have an enterprise, that’s set up for the elderly workers, and, this is important, because as we age, we want to feel we can still give something to the world, and, this company had provided a safe and caring environment for the elderly in the population to work in, for them to feel that they’re still able to, contribute, so they are more than motivated to keep on working, keep on giving back to the company, and, the elderly workers became, an asset to the company.
