A man in the city of Taipei, Lin, suspected of having financial discord, early yesterday morning, he’d, detonated the gas, causing one dead six wounded, the woman inside the house, Wang, was thrust into the fires, died instantly. Lin also suffered serious burns too, and five members of the fire department, police officers who’d come to rescue, to negotiate, were all wounded in the process. The fire department workers stated, that it’d only taken three short minutes from the time when Lin detonated the gas stove to when the walls were, blown open.
Based off of understanding, Lin works as a night time cab driver, and in his wife’s introductions, he’d met Wang, a woman from China, after Lin’s wife passed away, the two of them dated for a long time, Lin would give Wang money for living, and, last year on Wang’s daughter-in-law’s birthday, Lin was there to help her celebrate too.
The police found, that two afternoons ago, Wang went to Lin’s place, and after supper, she’d gone into the bedroom to rest alone, the two started arguing fiercely around the midnight hours, Lin claimed, “I will choke you to death, I will turn on the gas stoves”, Lin’s children were so scared they’d rushed to the betel nut stand down below to call the police.
The fire department said, that as the firefighters arrived, they’d found the gas already, turned on in the fourth floor residence, they first opened up the tightened and locked up window, then, entered into the residence to rescue. Wang realized that someone was outside, she’d rushed toward the door, unlocked that hidden hatch, the firefighters made their ways into the room, Lin turned on the lighter, pulled Wang back toward him, closed the door, threatened, “You open up this door, and I will, detonate the gas!”
The firefighters tried to soothe Lin, told him, “Just talk to us”, but, he’d lit up the gas stove, which caused the five members of the police and fire department to get injured, and, the police even saw, that after the detonation, Wang crawled toward the door, and Lin, who was wounded, got up, and, PUSHED her into the burning pits of fire, and, the victim was, charcoaled, burned to death, and there were, eighty-percent burns all over Lin’s body too.
Lin’s daughter pointed out, that two nights ago, she’d heard her father demanded, “You will pay back the $300,000N.T. you owed in three days!”, or else. Five minutes ago, she’d heard Wang call, and her father took the cell phone away from her, and told the woman, “That’s it, it’s, settled”, and then, hung up. Police are suspecting that it’s the finances that’s caused this tragedy.
So, we don’t really know what’s happened, and can only guess, and perhaps, the girlfriend of this man refused to pay back the money she’d owed him, and, threatened to break up with him or something, that, was what made this man do something so rash, who knows? But, this tragedy could’ve well been prevented, had these two ADULTS not been emotional, and just, sat down, and discussed the matter, and worked out a solution………
