His Elementary School Teacher Pulled Him Back Before He Had the Chance to Kill Himself by Leaping Off the School’s Building

From MSN.com.tw, translated, by me…

This morning, at a certain elementary school in Changhwa, there was a sixth grade boy who ran up to the second floor of the school building, and climbed over the railings, showed that he’d wanted to leap. But thankfully, his teacher grabbed a hold onto him, to prevent it from becoming another tragedy.

footage from the news network here…

The school told, that after the early morning cleaning period was over, this boy didn’t return to class like the rest of his classmates, after the homeroom instructor realized that he didn’t come back to class, she’d searched for him frantically, then, she’d found him by the second floor railings, the student made it that he was about to leap off; the instructor noted this, first, she’d notified the police first, then, called out to him, “You can tell me anything, come down from there first, think about your father, and your mother too!”, in the end, the instructor took the time when the student was distracted by the police coming up the stairs, to grab him off, embraced him tightly in her arms, and managed to, resolve this crisis.

The school told, that this boy transferred from another school in Taipei, had emotional difficulties, that what caused him to do something so rash was probably because of the pressures he’d been under, that they will get him the help he needed. The Department of Education will also step in, to see what’s going on in this student’s home life too.

So, there is probably a compounding number of factors that made this young elementary-age boy do something so rash, and gladly, his homeroom teacher was there, to calm him down, to talk to him, to prevent this tragedy from happening, this time!
