Four students from Hsinbei City’s Fu-He and Yonghe Middle School, two nights ago after school, as they passed through the bus stop at the Der-He Road in Yonghe, threw water balloons at the fifty-eight year-old Lee who was sitting in the booth waiting for the bus, and hollered out at him, “How long do you have to sleep here?”, the locals who’d passed by captured the footage and streamed it online, and the behaviors of the teens were scolded over.
The principal of the Fu-He Middle School, Fang later on spoke on behalf of her students, she’d explained, that the two students from the school met Lee at the bus terminal, the man told them that he’d wanted to go home to Keelung, but didn’t have enough for the bus fare, the two students lent $40N.T.s each to Lee to get the ride home, but two nights ago, he was caught, panhandling again, that, was why the students got angered, and smashed the water balloons at me.
As Lee was hit by the water balloons, he’d turned around, and confronted the students, “You’d hit me, do you not know that?”, the student shouted back at him, “I intended to hit you, what are you going to do about it!”, the footage was captured on someone’s cell phone, and streamed onto FB, the online community ranted, that these group of students behaved so childishly, the police investigated and found, that Lee wasn’t really homeless, that yesterday he’d left home, was about to alight the bus to his church in Keelung, and was attacked with the water balloons by this group of students.
Based off of understanding, both Lee’s parents died, he wasn’t from a well-to-do background, and because of his leg injuries, he couldn’t get a job, but, he’d not had a handicap manual. The police in Yonghe told, that Lee had, forgiven this group of students, and stressed, “It’s not like I was hurt or anything!”, refused to press charges.
Fang said, that the students felt they were deceived, that, was why they’d, thrown the water balloons at Lee, that they were very regretful over what they’d done afterwards. The school will work to counsel the students more, to enforce moral education too, and, will punish the students based off of the rules set up by the school, and the school held a conference with the homeroom teachers, and explained what’d happened to the entire student body as well as the instructors who worked there too, hoping, to straighten up the reputation of the school. The principal of Yonghe Middle School, Chen stated, that the two students from her school in the footage weren’t the ones who threw the water balloons, that they’d already, talked with the students as well as their parents, to educate them on how to properly, handle similar situations if they were to happen again.
And so, if this happened to the adult, then, the adult may just, confront the man who’d lied, but, we’re talking about teenagers here, their brains aren’t fully developed yet, therefore, they couldn’t foresee the consequences of their behaviors, even if they felt that they had justifications to do what they did, and, the man probably just wanted to scam these teens for money, panhandling money from the two middle school students.
