Family tragedy here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A man, Chang, had verbal altercations often with his own mother on the matter of discipline of his own daughter, in April of this year, he’d gotten angry at how his daughter returned home late, “grandma” came out, to protect the granddaughter, the mother and son got into a physical altercation; Chang was angry and pushed his mother, causing her to fall backwards, hit the back of her head, and died, the Taichung D.A.’s Office yesterday prosecuted Chang on murdering of his own kin.

The D.A. pointed out, that Chang would drink out of habit regularly, that he’d had multiple verbal altercations with his mother, Lai, he’d admitted to using brute force to push his own mother, but never expected the consequences to be this dire; as the court opened in session, Chang cried in pain, kept stating, “I’m sorry, mom!”, but, regrets were too late.

The indictment papers pointed out, that the forty-seven-year-old Chang lived with his mother and his daughter. On the early morning of April 6th, because his daughter turned home too late, he’d started scolding her loudly, his mother felt compelled to defend her grandchild, the mother and son started fighting; in a moment of anger, Chang pushed his mother on the chest, his mother fell backward, her head hit the marble tile, and because of her external head injuries and sustained hemorrhagic stroke, she was dead by the time she was lifted to the hospital.

The D.A. will conduct an autopsy with the medical examiners, to make sure, that Lai’s death WAS indeed, caused by the fall and the external head injuries, that led to her hemorrhage, causing her central nervous system shock, then ultimately, leading to her death.

So, this, would be an accident, caused by a verbal altercation, and this just shows, how in the heat of the moment, someone can so easily, hurt someone else, without even realize how much force had been used.
