the priority seats on the MRT here…
Because sometimes, the handicaps just, aren’t “visible” to the “naked eyes”, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A while ago, two female students from the First All-Girls’ High School didn’t let their seats up for a mother with a young child and an elderly man, they were filmed and posted online, and the online communities started lashing out at them, it’d caused the rants in the communities, and now, there’s a case of a visually-impaired student who sat in the priorty seats that was insulted. The special needs student from Taiwan Teacher’s University awhile ago was assisted by the security guards to alight the trains to the priority seats, but, a middle-aged woman ranted out at him, “the Priority Seats are not for you!”
This made Lu angry, but he’d also stated, that hopefully his experiences can make people rethink the meaning of the priority seats, that sitting in the priority seats isn’t something pitiful, that some of the needs of others aren’t visible at all, that those sitting in the priority seats shouldn’t be looked upon with pity at all.
Lu had optimcal nerve deterioration, his original vision deteriorated quickly, and now, he can only detect the lighting from his left eye, and his right eye was, practically blind. Awhile ago, Lu told what happened on Facebook, as he was interviewed yesterday, he said, that because he was on his way to a function, he’d not taken his guide dog, or walking cane with him, but he was believed to be occupying the priority seats for no reasons at all.
Lu said, as he’d told the woman, “I can’t see, I should be allowed to sit here”, the woman started waving her hands in front of his face, made him very uncomfortable. Because he can still detect the things that are close to his face, he’d asked her, “why are you waving in front of my face?”, the woman was like she’d discovered America, stated, “So, you can see, your eyes are so sharp, and you’re still lying about it!”
Lu sighed, that this value of the priority seats, should be allowed as his, as he’d needed, but, he’d, stood back up, “Let go of your own needs, and start understanding and seeing the needs of others.”
So, the woman here, is the cause of how cold the world is becoming, just because this young man needed the seats because he’s visually-impaired, but looked “normal”, the woman ranted for him to stand up, and, the woman insulted this young man, and, he felt, that the priority seats should be open for him to sit down, but it wasn’t………
