Translated…
Recently, in order for his writing career to flow more smoothly, my husband who’s past fifty said, that he’d wanted to find the spare time aside from work, to read together, after discussion, we’d decided, to get up at four in the morning, and read together for two hours. But, as this plan was set up, it’d only taken us two days, to break it up.
not my photograph…
The first day, as the alarm sounded, we’d gotten up, gotten washed up, worked hard, to fight off our sleeping bugs for one and a half hour, and my husband, with his sleep-filled eyes, begged me, “honey, I’m really very tired, can I get half an hour more of sleep? Can you please wake me up at 6:30?”, I was, already awake, and I’d started grilling him, “No, I’m NOT waking you back up!”, and, even if I’d held firm, but it seems, that my husband’s soul had already been, kidnapped by the dreams monsters, he’d marched back up the stairs to bed again.
The second day, the alarm sounded off, I’d turned it off, and, stayed in bed for thirty more minutes, then, the two of us slowly, got up, went down stairs, ready to start reading. The moment the books were opened, the two of us were, yawing left and right, and, we couldn’t fight off our sleepiness; and so, we were both, conquered again, by the dream monsters, returned back to bed once more.
The third day, neither one of us wanted to get up again, and my husband said, “being sleep-deprived, it’s not going to work out, and, barely keeping our eyes open, and reading, we can’t remember a thing, it’d end up, being a total waste of time. I think, we should, get enough sleep, and set aside another time for reading, and if we allowed our brains to get the rest that they need, then, as we worked and read the books, it would be, more efficient!”
woke too early this morning…
Surely, as we arrived in midlife, our stamina, our memories, are not as good as they once were, and so, we can only, give in to our bodies, and hearing the dictations of our bodies, when it’s time to sleep, we should, head to bed and sleep. Not being able to follow the tracks of the studious ancient masters, we were, somewhat, regretful, but, we can only make fun of ourselves, “because we’re, born, blessed!”
So, you’d set an impossible goal for yourselves, and, there’s NO need to designate a set time for things that are happening in your lives here, instead, you should be able to sleep until you’re awake, and, do things as they come to you, that way, you won’t get stressed out, for not keeping that rigid schedule.
