We will never know, precisely, what had, caused these two men in the army to kill themselves, we can only gather up the clues that they’d left behind, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The major office, Jiang, and lieutenant, Gu, yesterday, were found, dead, having committed suicide in the dormitory and the army base camps. The investigative officers looked into the matter, and found, that last month, Jiang became emotionally unstable, and was accompanied by his platoon to the doctors, he had stresses from home loan, as well as the burdens from needing to care for his wife and child; after Gu was divorced, he’d needed to pay his wife $20,000N.T. in alimony and child support, his ex-wife suspected that he’d killed himself because of the stresses from the economics.

The police found, that the major officer, Jiang (age 38) lived in the dorms of the army sector with his families, before his son left for school yesterday, he’d found him in the living room, having hung himself using his S belt, the son immediately called his mother, Jiang’s wife cut the belt off, and rushed him to the Army’s General Hospital, but after emergency resuscitation, he’d still died.

The director of warfare in the command office, Lu said, Jiang had served for seventeen years already in the army, and there was NO discipline on record for him; Jiang was the director of the weapons department, starting in July of this year, he’d started showing signs of emotional distress, insomnia, became very quiet, not liked carrying on in conversation with people, the army department had sent him to see the psychiatrist, and reduced his workload too.

Based off of understanding, Jiang makes a little over $75,000N.T. a month, and had joint custody over his four children with his wife, with another a little over a million dollars in home loan unpaid, as to the cause of suicide being financial or not, the army and the police are still investigating.

The thirty-seven year-old sergeant, Gu, yesterday, texted “Sister, I can’t be with you anymore” to a female friend of his, the woman notified his service mates, at a little past 2:40 in the afternoon, they’d found Gu, dressed in camouflage, hung himself using a nylon string out back by the ficus out back. The officers found a lot of the smoked up cigarette butts around him, they’d suspected that he was distressed or depressed before he killed himself.

The manager of the army, Jing stated, that Gu wasn’t recently punished, didn’t get scolded by his superiors either, that he’d taken his break, and on the 28th, he’d returned back to the base camp, and interacted with his coworkers normally, that there was, no signs of anything wrong with him.

Based off of understanding, in 2000, Gu signed on to serve the voluntary service terms, six years ago, he’d divorced from his wife. Gu had two daughters and a son with her, ages ten, nine, and eight, the courts mandated that he pay close to $20,000N.T. in alimony and child support each month, the three children live with his ex, and Gu can only use his weekends or days off to visit with them. Gu’s ex-wife told, that his suicide may have been caused by economic stress; the D.A. is going to examine the evidences, to find out the precise cause of his death.

And so, these are, two suicides from the army, and, because serving in the army is a lot of stress, they’d needed to be very disciplined, and, these two men committed suicide, because of reasons that nobody will now know, because the only ones with the answers are both dead, and, the second man, Jiang’s suicide may have been caused by the economics, but we don’t know for sure, because the only one who can answer these questions are, dead.
