Invasions of privacy, as they went on a “vacation”, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A couple in Kaohsiung last month went to a motel in Taichung to stay, later on, they’d received an extortion letter, threatening them that their footages of having sex together in the motel was captured on tape, and that if they don’t pay, the footage will be spread out, and the couple received the photographs too; three days ago, the police searched the motel, and found the spycam still intact, and during this time, there were, over sixty-nine pairs of couple that went to stay there, and they may have all be captured on tape.
The multiple cases of extortion that occurred in Taichung on the spycams taking down the footages of intimacy from a little over a decade ago had caused panic, and, the motel owners had taken measures, to prevent these spycams from being set up; but, the signals of the traditional spycams were passed through the electric waves, and stored into SD cards, but this time, the spycams were connected to a distant server, and the police said, that the detectors were no good, that this, is a brand new kind of spying on someone they’d never encountered before.
The victim couple traveled to Taichung on vacation, went to stay in a motel in Nantun District; two weeks after they went back home, the wife received a threat on Facebook, that the footages of she and her husband having sex were all captured on tape, the perpetrators demanded a five hundred thousand dollars for them to get the originals back.
the multitide of disguises…
The victims ignored the people who took the footages, and, a few days later, they’d received the pictures of the footages captured, and the perpetrators claimed that if they don’t pay the ransoms, they will send the DVDs to everybody they know, and that they’re going to sell the footages to the porn industries to make into DVDs to sell; the couple reported this to the police on the 25th, and streamed the footages onto Facebook themselves, to help the public become more aware of what had happened.
another kind of spycam…
As the Taichung police department received the reports of the case, they’d immediately gone to the motel to collect the evidences, they’d found the needle cams that posed as fire alarms in the garage of the guest as well as above their bed too, with an internet card inside, that after the footages were captured, they were, immediately, sent to the cells or the cloud; the webcam used the power source from the motel, that it was, hard, to tell the piece of equipment was there.
And so, this, is alarming, you can’t even feel safe on your vacations, what, has this world come to? And, it’s still ALL because the perpetrators knew how scared the victims would be, fearing that their privacies get posted, streamed live online, but, this time, the couple wasn’t afraid, instead, they used their own experiences, to help bring about more awareness to this sort of a situation, to prevent more people from falling victims…
