Lessons about life, taught, by animals, translated…
“Dumb-Dumb”, is truly, dumb-dumb, he’d lost, his life, for the sakes of humans. He was once, a very noble-looking, handsome husky, but, as his owner moved, he’d not thought of taking him with, instead, chosen to head back to his original residence once every three days to give him his food, the last time, the owner was away, for about a week or so, and, the husky died, on the lanai of the owner’s former residence, his face was chewed off by the maggots, his body, found, surrounded by the feces and the urine. The neighbors called up the animal protections agency, the owner replied, “I’d not feed him for a long time, I didn’t expect him to die”, yeah, “Dumb-Dumb” must not have thought that he would die to, otherwise, I truly hope, that he had, chewed and bitten his own owner to DEATH at his last feeding too.

What came, with the angers about the death of this pet was, “the Animal Rights Activists are out again”, “They will have something to rant about this time too”, “the Animal Rights Activists can hit somebody”. Don’t know when it started happening, the angers of an animal being abused to death became equivalent to that of those who’d abused the animals. The only ones high up on that pedestal were, the critics of the animal rights’ groups, they said, we need to empathize, reason, forgiveness, and retraining, to pursue the equal rights of all living organisms.
We felt the heartaches wrenching, feared and doubted, the neglected rights of, people this group had been, talking about, people all along, the reteaching, retraining of man, man can change, man still have a future, but, they’d not talked about the feelings of that dog, the life and death of that cat, along with the future they were, stripped off.

Talking to the people about equal rights for all living things, they’d tell you, that humans aren’t completely equal yet, and, the great meaning of this phrase, was probably as you preached about justice to him, he’d complained to you on how he couldn’t even get his three meals a day. But, everybody knew, that the dignity of the soldiers, didn’t get chewed up and eaten by the dogs, they’re the ones, who chose, to abuse and slaughter the innocent animals, they’d lost their humanities, as they took what they did as matter-of-fact; the goals of education of N.T.U. was lost by the school itself, when did they EVER consider anything in education, all they’d cared about was the reputations of the school; those who would starve their dogs to death, don’t even deserve a simple bowl of rice themselves.
Then, what of the deaths of oxen, pigs, snakes, monkeys, giraffes? There are animals, dying left and right every single day, and, people have different ways to react to the news. Surely, people are unfair, toward animals they believed to be cute, they’d subconsciously classified the animals, it’s instinctive, because there’s the “companionship animals” (partner animals), the cats and the dogs are closer to people, and can give people the emotional support that we seek, and so, naturally, when they get tortured and abused to death, we are all, very angry about it.

And yet, we would have that transference toward the animals, because we’d cared for our pets, and, we’d change our own diets to vegetarian, and buying up all those humanely raised meat products too, make donations to the wildlife organizations…this is by the levels, not unrelated, nor do these things oppose each other. The key here isn’t it where the animals are living, and the roles of the society, but to NOT kill the animals using cruel measures, and this, compared to the deaths caused by carelessness, is differentiated by humans, but, it’s, all the same to the animals.
It’s not important, the issues of animal protection, so long as we’re humans, we’d feel scared over the intentional murders of animals. Animal rights or no animal rights, it’s still, NO excuse for murdering another human being, whether it be the murder of another man, or a cat, the perpetrator need to be punished, be counseled, and any and everything that might shed light into the individual’s inside, for the person to think about what s/he did being wrong, to understand the importance of life, and NOT hating the society, be forgiven for what s/he did, and continually offending, and getting cussed out.

To this date, I still don’t know how to tell if a person is good or bad, only know what I should or shouldn’t be doing. I don’t know if there will be another dog or cat that fell victim, and don’t know if by forgiving those animal abusers, it will help them turn over a new leaf. All I know is one thing: there’s no good, or bad dogs or cats, only the facts of death, that kept us, living in pain.
But, even after some random animals died from the abuse of human being, and the media press got a hold of it, and brought to the public’s attention, it will blow over, soon enough, because that, is how SHORT the human attention span is, and, today, it was, only an animal that got murdered, so who CARES, NOBODY D-I-E-D, right??? And, it’s EXACTLY that frame of mind, that there would be more and more animal abuse death cases, because we don’t see lives as equals, a life IS a LIFE is a L-I-F-E, no matter if it’s four-legged, two-legged, six-legged, or eight or more legged!
