This “trend” had gotten the public MORE active, sure, but, it’d also, created problems for the society, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

New Beitou became a “hotspot” for playing Pokémon Go, on the weekends, over tens of thousands of people showed up, not only did the scene of this frenzy made the international headlines, it’d also caused complaints from the local residents, and, to control the situation, the Beitou Police Department had downloaded the “Pokémon Radar” to help control the situation, and, set up the traffic directions based off of the level of rareness of the Pokémons; the influx of people, of cars had turned into a living nightmare for the residents and the police, the police is now, drafting up a request, for the developer of the games, to take Beitou off of the list of places that Pokémons can be found in.

and this, is still NOT the biggest worry of all, walking onto ONCOMING TRAFFIC to catch those Pokemons…

Beitou was once voted as a small tourist attraction, and this changed after Pokémon Go, the storefronts originally loved the rush from the crowd, bringing in the business, but, they’d now realized, that only a limited number of shops had, benefitted, with the problems accumulating.  The man in charge of the Springs Borough, Hsu stated, that Pokémon is, out of control now, the traffic, the noise level, and amount of trash had become, the three major causes of the local population’s headaches.

Hsu said, originally, it’d only taken just FIVE minutes to drive up the mountain to get home from the Springs, now it’s taking over forty minutes, and many of the local residents still can’t get to their homes; on the weekends, there would be over 12,000 members of the community, wandering in New Beitou, trying to catch the Pokémons, the designated time for trash pick up is now, thirty minutes late, because of the traffic jam, and, the local residents spent all night, waiting for the garbage pickup.

how can you focus on the road, if this thing is right in front of you, huh???

“Two or three in the mornings, there would still be loud hollering!”, Hsu stated, the Pokémon fans not only affected the local residents, even the Japanese tourists who were staying at the springs hotel were affected too.  The local residents wanted the Pokemon fanatics to have some empathy, to not play the games, and cause other people grief.

And, this game that gets people to head outdoors became a HUGE problem, quickly enough, didn’t it?  And, because this is a hotspot for those Pokemons, that, is why those gamers are headed over there, and, think about it, if you’re one of the residents there, and people are coming into your community, leaving behind a whole lot of trash and mess, how would YOU feel, huh???  One more problem that this new game brings to the world here…
