The brothers Chen, ages sixteen and thirteen, because they were displeased at how a man, Chien had, barged in while they were getting drunk, they’d beaten him, tortured him to death by using the chair, the brooms, and bricks they could get their hands on, and after they’d beaten Chien to death, they’d dumped his body into the near water drainage pipes; the Hsinbei District Attorney’s Office prosecuted the older of the two on murder, and dumping of the body, the younger brother was not yet fourteen, so he was taken to juvenile detention hall, and would be spending time in the juvenile detention center.

The indictment papers pointed out, that the brothers Chen were both members of their school’s track team, with strong build, on the early morning hours of January 30th, the two adolescents went out of get some midnight snacks, they’d gone to a temple to drink, back then, the fifty-nine year-old Chien was also there, hanging with his friends, he’d approached the two brothers and struck up a conversation.

The brothers Chen stated, that back then, Chien was intoxicated, asked to bum a cigarette and a light, they’d asked Chien to leave, Chien started ranting, “You young guys………”, the two adolescent felt insulted and were angered, and started beating him up.

The two brothers admitted to picking up a chair, and bricks, to beat Chien up, and had used a fire extinguisher to spray Chien’s face, and stuck a wooden stick up Chien’s anus to torture him to death, but the two adolescents insisted that they’d not had the intentions of abusing him to death.

The brothers worried that Chien’s body might get found, they’d used the fire extinguisher to cover up the blood, and tossed the murder weapon and Chien’s body into the draining system next to the temple, and because they felt guilty over what they’d done, they’d gone to the temple, to offer incense to ease their guilty conscience.

The D.A. was there, for the coroner’s autopsy of Chien’s body, and the D.A. found, that Chien was wounded all over his body, his head and face was beaten to being deformed, he’d died, in a horrible way, and suspected that before he was tossed into the drainage pipes by the brother, he’d already been beaten to death by them.

And so, this, is how easily teens can feel the offense, one wrong gaze, one bad word that was said, is enough, to send the teenagers into a beating frenzy, which was what had happened here, and alcohol also played a role in this man’s death too, had he not gotten drunk, and lost his sense of judgment, then, maybe he’d still be alive!
