“I swear I’ll never hurt you again!!!”, “I didn’t mean it, darlin’…”…these, are the promises, the promises of never again, and, as these L-I-E-S, rolled off his tongue like poison down into your esophagus, you’ll slowly, die, and you don’t even know it!
The promises of never again, they’re so sweet sounding, but, there only lies, and, even though your mind knows it, but, your heart seemed still wanted to believe, and, there’s just NO way that your head is able to, override your heart.
The promises of never again, once you stepped into this booby trap he’d set up, especially for you, and look, he’d gotten those rose petals, scattered, all across your bed too, didn’t he??? The promises of never again, why do you fall for it still? Because in your heart, you need to believe, that he’s, capable of love, of changing the way he’s treated you, but, the facts were, that he wasn’t, he hadn’t, since the very beginning, what makes you think he’ll, change now, huh?
The promises of never again, there’s no way out for you now, you’d gotten, too trapped, by the lies, the façade he’d, sold you out on, and, until you’re totally shocked, like having him choking you to death, and you somehow, managed, to break free from his tightening grasps around your throat, or, you’d lost your child to his abuse (like gotten beaten to the point you’d, miscarried???), you’ll keep on, believing the lies of his promises of, never again.
