The wife of a driver of a scam artist ring had left home, and he has an active arrest warrant on him, he’d taken his not-yet-a-year-old son on the road with him, and, the child didn’t have three meals a day; as the social workers came to visit his house, he’d lied to them on how busy he got at work and couldn’t make the appointments. After he was arrested and put in jail, the Taoyuan City government learned that Huang had over a dozen fraud cases pending on his record, that his wife went missing, they’d asked the courts, to terminate his parental rights to his own son, the judge allowed, and the son is now, in the custody of the government.
The Taoyuan District Court investigated, that Huang three years ago, became a small team leader of a group of drivers for a scam ring, and because the organization’s headquarters needed to dodge the checks of the police, he’d not had a set place of residence. At the beginning of last year, after Huang’s wife gave birth, she’d abandoned her own son and left home, Huang took his son home to look after, but because he didn’t have stable job, and not known how to care for a young infant, he couldn’t even make the bottles, his son starved often.
The infant boy’s maternal grandfather couldn’t stand to see his own young grandchild suffer, he’d called the police, and the city’s Social Services Department notified Huang that they’re going to make house calls. Huang lied to the social workers, that he’d worked in the transportation industries, and would need to travel from the north to the south a lot, or lied about how his wife had returned home and started caring for their son now, and refused the social workers from making the house visits; and, not long thereafter, he had an active arrest warrant on him, and he disappeared, and the social workers couldn’t get in touch with him any longer.
Huang took his son on the run with him, and had made withdrawals and deposits from the ATM with his son on his back. The father and son would ask to stay at relatives’ places, and they’d slept in the local parks too, and would not have three square meals a day. Last October, Huang was taken in by the police, and when the officers found him and his son, his son was covered in dirt, very skinny and weakened; as Huang was sent to prison, the city government filed a petition to terminate his parental rights, so the young child won’t become, “orphaned”.
As the judge was investigating the case, he’d found, that Huang was an important figure in the scam artist ring, that he’d taken a group of people to make withdrawals in cash, and wire the amount constantly, that he had over ten cases on him pending investigation. Huang admitted to having depression, “don’t know how long I’ll be sent away”, that he wasn’t capable to care for his own young son; that the child, with the mother missing and grandparents, aging and living under the economical standards, and unwilling to care for the young boy, the judge mandated that the parental rights be terminated, that the child is a warden of the local government.
So here, we still have unfitting parents, and, this man didn’t have the wellbeing of his young son in his considerations, he’d only wanted to evade arrest, that, was why he’d taken his own young infantile offspring on the run with him, and now, this child is an official, “orphan”, a warden of the “state”, which would probably be the BEST viable option for this young boy, because at least, now, he’ll have some stability in his life provided by the social welfare programs of the local governments…
