“Cinderella without the Glass Slippers”, She Killed Her Father-in-Law Out of Anger

From the Front Page Sections, translated…

The twenty-four year-old woman in Hsinchu, Tseng, at the middle of June this year, was suspected of murdering her “father-in-law” with a fruit knife, and attempted suicide by drinking the pesticides but wasn’t successful, she was called, a “bad behaving daughter-in-law” once, and, the D.A. investigated and found, that in the household, she was bullied to breaking, she lived like a “Cinderella without the glass slippers”, and she had a mental breakdown, that, was what caused her to murder her on father-in-law, she was, prosecuted based off of murder charges yesterday, but the D.A. asked the judge not give her the death sentence or life time in prison, to allow her a new chance at life.

The D.A. and police investigated, that Tseng and her “father-in-law”, Tsai’s family was complicated, that her birthmother married Tsai, and Tsai became her stepfather; later on, Tseng had a child with the son that Tsai had with his ex-wife, but they’d not made their marriage official.

At age fifteen, Tseng became a part of Tsai’s family as her mother married, and Tsai used his status as the patriarch, to “prohibit” her from having a boyfriend, there are great restrictions placed I her daily living, not only was she oppressed psychologically, she was also, forced, to take on all the manual labors of the household, and because she was strained in the body and the mind, she’d attempted suicide twice.

This April, Tseng met up with her friends, but Tsai found out, and forced her to sign a cashier’s check as well as a letter of regret, and urged her to get registered for marriage with his own son, so he could sue Tseng’s female friends.  Two months later, Tseng took advantage of Tsai when he was feeling off, she’d gone into his bedroom, and stabbed him with a fruit knife then, strangled Tsai with his own clothes.

In the indictment papers, the D.A. pointed out, how Tseng was abused by Tsai and his families, that she’d taken the abuse in, and worked in hard manual labor all day long, she’d become a “Cinderella without the glass slippers”.  And, Tseng made the wrong decision, at the verge of breaking, used a most stupid, worst kind of retaliation.  And because they weren’t related by blood, Tseng wasn’t prosecuted for the worse crimes of murdering one’s own kin, and the D.A. prosecuted her based off of murder charges, but asked the judge to not give her life sentence or death sentence.

So, because of how much this woman was put through by her mother’s new husband, and, that, is why the judge gave her leniency, and, this woman lived a life of hardship, and, she’d, finally, cracked!
