Thanks to Him, for Divorcing Her

Being thankful to the one who betrayed and hurt you is that this one is about, translated…

Rong-Rong posted photos of her and her daughters, touring the Universal Studios in Japan on Facebook, seeing how radiantly the three of them smiled on, I’m truly, happy, for Rong-Rong.

This year, was the year that Rong-Rong feels most grateful about, her eldest is about to enter into an excellent public university up north to study, and her younger daughter also got into her first choice of high school too, having nickeled and dimed, she’d told me, that this trip abroad, other than wanting to reward her children, it was, a sort of a reward for herself too.

Rong-Rong’s two daughters had been very well-behaved since they were younger, and had been excellent in everything that they’d tackled too, but, Rong-Rong’s husband often complained, “So unfortunate, they’re both girls.”  Rong-Rong had once, worked very hard, to get pregnant again, hoped that she could help her husband fulfill the regrets of not having a son.  But, after several years, they’d tried everything, gone to numerous gynecologists, but, it just, never worked out.  In order to have a son, Rong-Rong became, taxed in the body and the mind, and slowly, a tear was between her and her husband; whenever Rong-Rong said to her husband, “let’s stop trying”, her husband would say to her coldly, “it’s fine, if you can’t bear me a son, then, I shall, have another woman who can give me a son!”

This sort of verbal abuse and aloofness her husband shown toward her had, hurt Rong-Rong a lot, and, there’s growing tension between the two of them, and, Rong-Rong’s husband had, gone according to his own words, found another, to help him fulfill the duties of having a male “heir”.  Rong-Rong, being very stubborn, signed the divorce agreements, and gained sole custody of her two daughters, and started her life as a single mother.

And, don’t know if it’s being raised by their father in a male-oriented belief, her two daughters became excellent, not only were they scoring high on their exams in school, they’d worked hard, to fight for chances to shine through in everything else, the sisters are very well-rounded, and excellent academically, making everybody in awe, seemed to be, proving to their own father, with their actions, that girls won’t pale by comparison to boys.

We’d all felt awful for Rong-Rong’s trials in life, but she’d always, faced everything with a more than positive attitude, toward her ex-husband’s stupidity, his behaviors, and his betrayals as well, and just, carried up the burdens of the household herself.  Rong-Rong always told us, that had it been her husband’s uneducatedness, and his affair, she may still be trying the useless, countless numbers of wayward methods, and, believed in all those, ridiculous superstitions, and growing older, but not getting wiser, how could she have become, this independent, modern day woman?  And more importantly, the two daughters no longer needed to put up with their father’s sexism, and they have bigger space, to bring out their potentials, and all of these, she gave credit to her husband for.

It’s hard to imagine, how nowadays, there would be men who, for the sake of having a son, would give their wives a hard time, and finding other women to bear them their male heirs, but, maybe, Rong-Rong was, on to something, that had it not been her husband’s stubborn, old-timer’s beliefs, we couldn’t have seen, how Rong-Rong became, a better, and a different woman.

So, it’s this LOSER’s LOSS, that he’d divorced his amazing wife, and ignored his own two daughters, because he was way too stupid, to believe, that we must have a son, to bear the family’s last name, and, this just shows how sometimes, those age-old beliefs, superstitions can, RUIN the lives of all who are involved.
