An Elderly Man Refused to Sit in the Seat on the Bus that Someone Stood Up to Let Him Sit in, Caused the Entire Bus to Get “Rowdy”

The story of how kindness CAN and WILL, BACKFIRE!!!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

An elderly man carried a young girl and got on the bus, and he’d turned down the offers of other passengers to let him sit, and, a man who was riding the bus too, Lee confronted him, “Someone lets you have his seat, why don’t you sit?  You’re, blocking everybody’s way by standing in the middle!” and said, “You’re, the worst person in the world”.  A female passenger, Hsu heard, and tried to intervene, she’d used her cell phone to capture the footage of the argument, Lee grabbed her phone from her and tossed it away, the Shihlin District Court found Lee guilty, and gave him twenty-five days in prison, which he can pay a fine and not serve any time.

Lee worked as a school instructor, is diagnosed with cancer, and, is labeled as a low-income person.  Last year, on the morning of May 19^th, an elderly alighted Route 606 with a young girl in his arms, two female passengers saw, stood up, to let him sit, the elderly refused.  Hsu another passenger accused, that after the elderly refused the seat, Lee started calling him “trash”, “low life”, and claimed that he taught criminal law for twenty, thirty years, and that the elderly had committed a crime; she couldn’t stand it anymore, turned her head and confronted Lee, “The elderly didn’t break any laws, and, I don’t know what laws you’re talking about, but, based off of how you’d cussed at him, you’d already, publicly, insulted him.”

Hsu wanted to use her cell phone to collect the evidence, but she’s unfamiliar with how her cell works, was lowering her head to try to figure it out, when Lee grabbed the cell phone from her, she was so angry she’d asked the bus driver to report this incident to the police.

Lee stated, that the elderly was wearing flip-flops, with a child in his arms, there were, several, including him who’d stood up, and the elderly claimed, “I’m not sitting, because I don’t want to.”; and because the elderly had, placed himself, dead in the middle of the already narrow aisle of the bus, he’d gotten mad at the elderly.  Lee claimed, that it was for the sake of “public welfare” he’d argued with the elderly, “I’m maintaining order on the bus”, but Hsu the woman butted in, and started filming him with her cell phone, he felt that she was invading his privacy, that, was why he’d slapped her cell phone out of her hand.

The judge reviewed the surveillance footage on the bus, and confirmed that Lee did take a swing at the woman, that he’d, used force, to obstruct her rights for using her cell, the judge also believed, that Lee had no right to interrogate Hsu in public, and that Hsu didn’t need to tolerate interrogated by him either.

And so, this bus ride routine, because a WAR ZONE, and it’s all because of this EGOMANIAC’s belief of how his “kindness” was “abused”, I mean you have the right, the obligations, to let someone in need, but, it’s also, the other person’s right to NOT sit down if s/he doesn’t want to, and, there’s no need, to FORCE someone to take a seat, even IF s/he looks like s/he needs it, but mostly, I’m thinking, that it’s because this man felt that this elderly’s refusal to sit down had caused him the inconvenience of getting up that’s caused this man to get angry…
