A murder suicide??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…
The man in charge of the Shih-Nai Borough in Sanhua District in Tainan, Liao, was found dead with his ex-wife, Wu inside their living room, the detectives’ investigations stated, that Liao and Wu were divorced two months ago, they seemed to have gotten into a verbal altercation because of falling out of love, Liao had murdered his own wife with a knife, then, drank the agricultural pesticides to commit suicide himself, there were knife wounds on Wu, but, there were no signs of her being force fed the pesticides, the police will need to examine the bodies further to reach a valid conclusion.
The police pointed out, that at nine in the morning, because Liao didn’t show up at the office to make the teas, the local residents felt it was odd, they’d called up Liao’s son to open the door of the house, and they’d found Liao and Wu lying dead on the floors, they’d been dead for a while.
The CSIs examined the setting and found there to be signs of struggle, and that both of their bodies wreaked of pesticides, there were knife wounds on Wu’s right waist, her pants were unzipped and pulled down to her hips, her head was under the couch, the police suspected that she could be escaping the pesticide spray that she’d hid under the sofa.
Liao was lying on his side, on Wu’s abdomen, with a t-shirt on, with only his underwear on, his pants were found in the kitchen, and a possible knife he used to kill his wife was left on the couch, there was a small bottle of pesticides, and there were, sprays of pesticides over the living space.
The police investigation found, that the seventy-four year-old Liao after his first wife died, he’d married the fifty-one year-old Wu from China, they were very close. But, for unknown reasons, two months ago, they’d filed for divorce, but still lived together. Maybe it’s an altercation of love, that Liao killed his own wife with the knife, then, drank the pesticide to commit suicide, both were found to have pesticide residues on their bodies and around the mouths too.
The D.A. agreed with the findings of the coroner’s office, there were cuts on Wu’s body, looked like someone forced pesticides down her throat, they suspect murder, there were no visible external injuries on Liao, that he seemed to have died by drinking the pesticides, but the detailed cause of death would come out after the autopsies.
After the murder suicide, all the relatives and friends the couple knew were shocked and upset, they’d all claimed, “Weren’t they getting along well?”
So, we really don’t know what had happened here, just the end result, and, this looks more like a crime of passion than anything else.
