Don’t Suppress it, Allowing Your Sorrows to Find an Exit

Dealing with loss, grieving, translated…

Experiencing the Loss Fully, So You Can Overcome it

How to Healthily Experience Grief:

Face the Grief: adding to the reality of feelings of loss, you can repeatedly watch or listen to the tapes of the deceased, recordings, photos, letters, remembering the smiles, the voice of the deceased, and recalling the life the two of you had together.

Chew on the Grief: when remembering the one who died, the sorrows rises up to the surface, and you’ll experience the loss at its strongest, at which time, allow the emotions to flow out of you freely, express your sorrows, at which time, just crying your eyes out is the best outlet for your emotions.  And the healthiest sort of grieving is “experiencing the full range of feelings.”

Placing the Grief: after readapting to live after the loss, make the loss a part of your lives, to NOT deny the existence of loss and sadness from the loss, but instead, carrying on with this grief and keep going in life.

Picking Up the Passions for Life Again: try finding something you’re interested in doing, adding new meanings and motivations back into your lives again.

Sounds easy enough, isn’t it?  But, it’s truly, very difficult, to accomplish, for those of you out there who’d loved someone dear, you would know that this process isn’t that easy at all, but, you’re still, carrying on with your life, aren’t you?  That, is why we all will do, just carry on, and eventually, one day, you will, stop feeling sad, not because you’d forgotten the ones you’d loved so dearly, but because you’d gotten over their deaths completely.
