An Arson Streamed Live, Experts Feared that It Can Become a “Trend”

The online community was shocked at the live streams of arson online.  The scholars believed, that this sort of behaviors, usually came from someone with a paranoid standpoint, and mostly, from the political fanatics, using rash methods, to show oneself, with a total disregard of the outcome of one’s own behaviors, that things needed to be done, to prevent them from using even more rash behaviors to attract attention to themselves.

The dean of the crime prevention major of the Central Police University, Tsai stated, that live arson streams are from those who normally show their emotions outside, they’d not hide behind anything, even hoped, that everybody knows what they’d done, but these people are more than likely, to burn themselves in the process; and in these cases, the perpetrators filmed themselves as well as their victims, and they’d not cared if they get caught with the evidences for it, they’d wanted their actions to be known by the public.

He said, that the live streams are eye-catching, sure, but the contents of the videos documented the process of how a crime was committed, that it may be copied easily, plus, the cases of arsons in Taiwan are mostly related to revenge and retaliations, that it’d carried a certain levels of duplicability, that the minors may copy the behaviors because they lacked the judgments, and the foresights of the consequences of their behaviors, more seriously, it may become the causes of potential arsonists’ copied behaviors, causing danger to the general public.

Tsai suggested, that as the media is reporting on these events, they should act as gatekeepers for the public, restrain themselves, to sort through the contents, and not just follow the crowd, to report on it, and the users also need to restrain themselves, and, know to alert the police, and the police should tighten up on their patrols too.

And so, this, is a bad kind of a trend, because a person may see someone doing something bad online, and received so many hits, and think to her/him, hey, if this person can get all the attention for doing awful things, why can’t I???  And, we would, have a WHOLE lotta mess on our hands here!!!
