In the noisy downtown, I’d lifted my head up without much thought, and saw this scene.
The pigeon, she used a ton of force, taking flight toward the skies, the moment she’d, spread her wings. Look! At how tightly her feet are together, such a cute movement, that leads people to think. Turns out, that in the realms of the skies, the feet that got used to walking the concrete, you’d needed to know, when and how, to retreat.
In the journey of life, do we often, feel, like we’re, powerless at times too? I’m sure, that deep inside each and every one of us, there must still be, a part, that’s unwilling to, withdraw completely. That, is why, we can’t, soar toward, the open-ended sky.
Taking steps backward is a power too, and that, is what I had, come to, understand, many years later.
So, seeing this pigeon had, taught you this important lesson you’d needed to learn in life, didn’t it? And that, is just the wonders of life, lessons are everywhere, in things that you’d least expected to find, and, there are still lessons everywhere, all around us, and we just need to, open our eyes, as well as our minds, to see them, and take from them too, and, we will be, wiser than we all were.
