The Result of Reading the Story of “The Money for the Deceased”, Warmed Up the Temporary Shack that the Woman Who’d Lost Her Husband Lived in

The story of kindness of this woman, showing kindness to this other man who’d once offered her assistance had gotten spread out, from the Newspapers, translated…

“Getting the slightest assistance from someone, paying back a whole lot”, Lee, who’d turned down the money for her husband’s funeral service from Hsu, was living in poverty stricken conditions, had two sons to raise up all by herself, in the help from the man in charge of Wen-Hua Borough, Yang, as well as other kindhearted people, she’d managed to rent a steel shack, and fixed it up, and moved it, she’d named the house as “House of Compassions”, stressed that this new roof over her head was made possible by a lot of people’s kindness, that she will give back to the community when she’s able in the future.

The main player of “the Money for the Deceased”, a year ago, learned about the man in Fuzi City with cerebral palsy, worked really hard in recycling, and would box up all the no-longer needed papers from her workplace to send it to Hsu, last month on the eighth, Lee’s husband passed, Hsu rode the tricycle he’d recycled the materials from to the funeral home to offer his final respect, and gave Hsu a $2,100N.T. white envelope, money for the dead.

Lee knew, that if she took the money, then, Hsu would need to sell a hundred loads of cardboard boxes, she’d immediately returned the money back to him, using a red envelope she had; this story was reported by the papers, and, moved a lot of people, the outside world, after learning of how poor Lee is, continued donating to her, but two days later, Lee came out and turned all the donations down, said, that she was still young and able-bodied, that she can bring up her own two kids by herself.

And still, the compassions from the community still kept piling in, and, Lee was stressed out by the house she’d rented leaking rain, and, through Yang, the man in charge of her borough, she’d gotten a steel shack, but the place was not fully furbished, and Yang told this to those who showed a willingness to help Lee out.

Last month, the donations of kitchenware, mattress, electrical fixtures, appliances, came in, and, the steel shack was, refurbished, remodeled two days ago, by the skilled workers, and, Lee’s family of three finally, has a “new home”, they’d called it, “The House of Compassion”.

Lee went back to work yesterday, she said, this past couple of months, she’d felt nothing more than gratitude.  The eldest son said, that after his dad passed away, his mom worked very hard, that he was thankful, to a lot of uncles and aunts for their help, to put a roof over all their heads, that after he’s able to work, and had made the money, he will definitely donate to charitable causes too.

So, this, is how the kindness cycle rolled, and, it’s still, rolling, because people are responding to the kindness more, because we live in a world, where hopes are, diminishing little by little, and so, when we thumb across a story such as this one, we’d gotten that wakeup call, and, wanted to make a difference ourselves as well.
