The acts of kindness from the police officers, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
“How was there an adolescent girl running like crazy on the streets in the middle of the night?”, the manager of the subprecinct in Zhongli, Wu awhile ago, took his patrol team out, found the fifteen-year-old Hsu, looking frantic, and running around on the streets, they’d stopped her and find out what was going on, she’d told them, “I need to make it to the hospital, to see my grandfather one last time.” Without another word, the officers drove her fast, to the hospital, so she could see her dying grandfather, and she’d not had any regrets then.
Hsu the teenage girl timidly, went to the subprecinct, to show her gratitude, told the officers that her grandfather had passed away, that she was thankful for their assistance; she said, that on that night, she was in such a hurry, didn’t write down the license of the patrol car, nor asked the names of the officers who were kind enough to give her the lift, she could only go to the subprecinct closest to her home, and, after inquiring, she’d found the right officers, and the officer who was on duty at the subprecinct, Tien, just so happens, was the one who gave her the assistance on that very evening, and took the letter of thank you from her.
“I don’t know you, but I’m, truly grateful to you, my dad told me that I didn’t need to write this letter, but I wanted to, because if I didn’t, then, you wouldn’t know how moved I was of your actions……on such a dark night, with your help, it’d become, the warmest night of my life………”, reading the very well handwritten note, the manager of the subprecinct, Dong-Hai Wu said, “As the recipients, we were even more moved than she was.”
The police said, that on the third of this month, the teenager, Hsu arrived home late, and found her family members all away, and after she’d asked around, she was told, that her grandfather was dying in the hospital, that everybody had already gone to the hospital; back then, it was, already eleven o’clock late at night, in order to see her grandfather one last time, she’d decided, to head over to the hospital too.
The subprecinct manager of Zhongli Police Substation, Wu and the officers, Tien, Lai, Wu were doing a large scale scan, and, they drove the patrol vehicle past the San-Guan, Ji-Guan Intersections, and saw the teenager, running frantically, looking nervous on the streets, they’d stopped their car and asked her what was going on, and after they’d learned, they’d told her to get into the car immediately, and within five minutes time, they’d, dropped her off at the hospital.
So, this, is kindness in the world, from the police officers to the members of the general public, and, with the officers’ kind assistance, this young woman was able to get to the hospitals in time, to see her dearly beloved grandfather one last time.
