Life, the Obstacle Course

Harder to Quit a Job Than to Find One

There’s a LOT you need to watch out for when you quit too!!!  Translated…

The school I worked for sent out the hiring papers every May, then, there would be news, of which teachers didn’t sign on, are about to leave the teaching posts, and there are, always, an assortment of reasons.

The elderly instructors aren’t at retirement age yet, but, they’d wanted to, help look after their young grandkids, so they’d, filed for early retirement; there are those younger instructors who’d quit because their husbands had transferred to work abroad, and they were, following along; naturally, there are also, new instructors, who’d gotten offered a public position and quit happily too.

It’s not hard, to not get the hiring papers, the difficult parts are what come afterwards.  First, whether or not the school should try to make the teachers stay, the superiors’ kept asking the person to stay, that, is an affirmation of their work; and if the superiors just talked on courteously, then, there may be something deeper; and what’s the worst is when the superiors didn’t say a single thing, that, would leave the instructors in a difficult position.

The next, you’d needed to, keep your patience, to all the inquiries from your coworkers.  Toward those who you’re close to, tell the truth; and toward those whom you don’t know that well, still thank them for their cares and concerns.  And sometimes, we’d wanted to, use the PA system to reply to all the inquiries, all at once.

Lastly, returning the gifts.  There would be those, who gave you things, mostly, for the resources, so, other than running the procedures, tidying up one’s own work stations, we’d needed to, make the time, to return the “favors” too, otherwise, the ones who’d left their work post will get complained on how they’d not known the way things worked.

not my comic…

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!  A job is not easy to find sure, but, quitting one, it’s even, harder!

So, this, is all in socialization, because we’re expected, to act a certain way, and, we’re a culture of, gift-giving, returning-the-favors, that, is why you can’t, just up and out, because you don’t want people who stayed at work to say thing about you, like how you’d not known the ways, etc., etc., etc.
